The good news is that with Rep. Ryan chosen, that will all the more benifit Romney.

Let's think beyond the short term.

If Obama wins he will undoubtedly stack the supreme court against conservatives, initiate numerous marxists policies like Obamacare and take over of large segments of the economy which may be irreversible.

If Romney wins we will have a better chance of putting the economy on a strong footing AND set up a strong social conservative, Paul Ryan in the catbird seat to succeed Romney as POTUS.

and it will be largely thanks to them.

Better make a list now then. Put me at the top because I'm, not voting for your pathetic piece of Clintonesque trash. And yes, Romney will probably lose.

Don't like it, take it up with your party, they're the ones most responsible.

We had a full year of primary to pick a better candidate. But conservatives couldn’t get behind one conservative and support them. Instead, conservatives split their support among multiple candidates, with a good number trashing every conservative because they supported Palin, who wasn’t even running.

Then a lot of conservatives decided to support a guy who had never won anything, had no government executive experience, and who then quit the race over charges of harassment for which there was no concrete evidence.

And even when there were only two conservatives left, the conservatives couldn’t decide between them, visciously attacking each other and ensuring a Romney win.

One look at the 3rd-party candidates shows why it is a hopeless cause. The best-known of the bunch is Virgil Goode, who was a democrat for most of his life (but more conservative than half the republicans), who lost his own seat in congress, and had no executive experience at all. Along with no organization to speak of.

We have to face the reality that third parties are big losing efforts at this point in time.

The truth is that Obama is losing support with each new day. We have a great opportunity to take this country back.

Let us stop fighing among ourselves and support this golden opportunity.

I agree, there are others on the ballot. But can they win at this late date? No. So what’s the use?

I “smell” stinky obama and his cohorts behind this “dump Romney movement.

Those who oppose dumping mitt for a more Conservative candidate smell like stinky liberal behinds. Only an anti-hunting faggot would be against the delegates dumping mitt and putting Ryan at the top.

“There are other choices on the ballot.”

Sure there are, but none with the most remote possibility of being elected, even your guy, Virgil Goode. Any 3rd party candidate is a spoiler, and those voting for those spoilers are, in many states, throwing away their votes while calling it principled. Their choice.

However, there are only two choices for the next POTUS: Barack Heussein Obama, Jr., or Willard Mitt Romney. Period. Too bad for those who don’t like it. That is exactly what it will come down to. One of those 2 will be our next POTUS.

If votes for a 3rd party candidate spell the difference of electoral votes in a swing state, then those in that state who voted for that 3rd party candidate will be responsible for the outcome. And note: there are no 3rd party candidates who harm Obama in any way.

It won’t matter in CA, NY, most of New England, or the “Solid South” who one votes for, the overwhelming majority will decide and carry either D or R. It’s only in the swing states where these theoretically ‘principled’ votes could have consequences.

We are like bolts.
We can be torqued with an air impact wrench or a hand wrench.
Either way we are still torqued.

...then perhaps these well-meaning idiots would then realize that sometimes one has to go with the lesser of two evils...

So in your opinion, it's just sometimes.  Okay, well then by all means, it's been so so long since we did this, we should give it a try.

I always like trying something different, to see if we'll get different results.  Thanks for your help.

Ahhhhh /s!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How has voting for the lesser of two evils worked out for us?  Do you see real progress?  I must be missing what you're seeing.

For those of you who wonder why I have that photo in the top right corner, click on the photo and hold on to your seat.

My wife saw this girl perfom several weeks back, and brought her to my attention.  Consider this a 'good news' item.

The philosophy that you should always chose the lesser of two evils is rather antiquated ~ and is guaranteed to lead to more evil every time it's followed.

Nothing whatsoever wrong in dumping Romney now!

Let’s say you are correct and these people and group are not what they say they are, concerned that a liberal is going to be nominated.
Then let’s also suppose they were successful.
Since it appears your primary purpose is to rid the country of Obama, why do you care who the Republican nominee is?
For you it seems ABO is the goal, not electing a conservative.
