We agree. I think Ryan is brilliant and should be named to an important economic post in the Romney administration. But for the campaign he's a Dudley Do Right poodle when what we really need is Lee Atwater reincarnated as a rottweiler or a pit bull.
Question: who in the heck would be the purer-than-snow, can't-be-attacked, going-to-satisfy-everyone, candidate or VP candidate?
I've been reading all the "lack of purity" hokum since the campaign season opened and still cannot figure out exactly who the Conservative-Knight-In-Shining-Armor-Who-Can-Save-America-And-Please-Everyone is. It's pretty obvious that whoever this person might be has never run for the office.
