Not to mention they were supposedly able to do all this in public, on a busy street, without a video of it showing up on u-tube, or at minimum showing up at her lawyer's office, when virtually everyone has a cell phone with a camera on it.

Evidently police stops don't cause the usual gaperblocks in that part of the state, as they do everywhere else in the real world, and the public- before which she says she was humiliated- managed to miss the entire two-hour show. Amazing if true.

The jury foreman and one other individual he formed a friendship with, ignored the evidence in the trial and referenced their knowledge of an unrelated area police scandal where officers were suspected of making up evidence. To my knowledge none of the officers had been found guilty, but there was an investigation.

This they used as evidence that the police lie all the time, so anything an officer testified to during the case was inadmissible to them.

The story the individual charged with a sex crime came up with, was quite transparent. He claimed the officer was the one who exposed himself to the defendant. This is what defendants do all the time, if they can’t defend their own actions.

The defendant said the officer followed him outside a restroom and tried to proposition him, which the officer denied. The officer denied conversing with the defendant.

At another point, the officer stated that he said, “Wait here” to the defendant before the arrest. This was not a conversation. He did not talk with the defendant. He told him to “Wait here.”

This the two guys I mentioned considered proof of a big lie on the part of the officer. He said he didn’t converse with the defendant. He lied so we can’t trust him.

The officer stated that he never held a discussion with the defendant. He stated that when cross examined regarding him trying to proposition the defendant.

At any rate, these two convinced a number of other people who thought the defendant was guilty, to acquiesce.

One lady said, I think he’s guilty, but the officer couldn’t be trusted, so I’m voting not guilty. Several others nodded their heads.

Another lady said, at least we have this guy on the record. Even if we don’t convict him, this will be on his record and if it every happens again, he’ll be convicted.

I explained that he could have been arrested ten times for this already, but if he got off we would hear nothing about it. This didn’t phase her.

Can’t wait to get on a jury again... /s

What is the problem with there being 6 cops? That would mean 6 cameras to back up the perp or the cops.

So what do the dashcams show?

Okay, as I have stated, if the cops did things they shouldn’t, I’m all for them being taken to task, charges that are appropriate being filed and pushed to conclusion.

Thanks for your response.

I lean that way, but there are a lot of folks here who assume the worst when it comes to police officers.

WTF does it matter. The question was, why 6 cops. Why not?

WTF does it matter.

Because dash cams would, as you said, 'back up the perp or the cops'.

So where are they?

I assume that you are a woman too (as am I). The only time that a tampn string was easy enough to get to was if I had mispositioned it OR if I had not been able to change in a reasonable time. The main point of my post was mostly to ask people to wait for further information rather than assuming that some litigious person is correct

I once felt harassed at a traffic stop.

I got pulled over for a “rolling stop” at a stop sign. The officer said I didn't 100% stop. Heh.

So as I was getting my insurance out of the glove box the officer spied a small plastic baggie. The poor fat old officer nearly gave himself a heart attack running around the car to snatch the baggie out of the glove box. He held it up and said, “Whats this? Whats this? Whats this?”. He was very excited I think.

I said, “I think its little light bulbs.” (My husband is a tech geek)

The cop ripped the plastic bag trying to open it and 100 tiny LED bulbs hit the ground all around his feet.

He didn't say sorry. I didn't get a ticket. My husband bought more LEDs.

So, really now that I think about it... I got off easy!

Someone can be strip searched on the side of the road in FL?? How very humiliating that experience must have been for her. It is truly horrifying what cops seem to be able to get by doing to citizens. Do they no longer have to charge you and take you to jail to strip search you. I thought you had to be arrested for a felony for that kind of intense treatment.

When I see a cop dressed like a terrorist, I am going to respond like that person is a terrorist and let God sort it out.

If it’s my spouse, kids, or family member she runs into, yes.

It was CA stop man. Get over it.
