A Florida woman claims that police pulled her over for a minor traffic infraction, strip searched her on the side of the road, and “forcibly removed” a tampon that she was wearing....
The woman... filed a lawsuit against the Citrus County government, Sheriff Jeffrey Dawsey and six unknown officers last week seeking damages....
The policeman, the lawsuit says, then pulled her over, approached with his gun drawn and put Tarantino in handcuffs while her two small children — ages one and four — watched...

Don’t be so quick to accept “claims” as the gospel truth. May be, may not be true
This doesn’t smell right from a simple logic angle. I can’t imagine a supervisor allowing a half-dozen patrol officers to be offline for two hours over a traffic stop. And since when are strip-searches conducted on the side of the road? And I find it hard to believe that you could get six cops who were all stupid enough to think this was a good idea, in the same place at the same time.
That being said, I can’t totally dismiss it. The truth will out.
Looks like someone who has just been abused by her own government.

Why are you so sure it happened in this case. I’m not one to jump to conclusions on such evidence as what a lawyer claims in a lawsuit. I’ll bet right now though it is total BS

What is the problem with there being 6 cops? That would mean 6 cameras to back up the perp or the cops. Cops where I live are one to a car and there are never less than 2. It’s called safety
That doesn’t look much like a mug shot. Probably taken for the story that is a year old
We’ve heard both preliminary stories now. It will be interesting to see what comes of this. Are the officers going down or is this another Twana Brawley? (sp?) We’ll see.
I won’t be surprised at all to see others at the scene.
Well that explains 3 the the cops, what about the other 3?
For her case 3 are as good as 6, so I assume she is telling the truth when she says 6. Why so many?
If she was resistant and abusive during the traffic stop, she would have been charged with resisting arrest, assaulting police, damage to county property, terrorism er.al.

This woman may have gone postal on the scene. She was sited for violation of restrictions and rolling through a stop sign.Do you realize how stupid that sounds?
The violation portion is probably what really rubbed her the wrong way. A judge is going to angry over that. She knows it. The cops wouldn’t let her slide.It wouldn't come before a judge. She wasn't charged. They didn't even include the rolling though the stop sign. They did let it slide, just found a minimim cite "We screwed up. count yourself lucky, don't make waves. Or.."
Sadly,yes....Id have taken you behind the cruiser and....and...and.. made u tell me all the unfortunate things you'd been involved it prior to this!... (that's my statement to the investigating officials....how u kicked your own ass is a mystery to me!)

It would be stupid for any of us to assume we know what happened here, based on allegations.
Everyone posting on this thread needs to go back to the link and read the lawsuit. It all hinges on the police handbook doesn’t spell out procedures for the claims made. I’m calling it BS
