In a January 10, 2012 interview with Amy Goodman of "Democracy Now!" the anti-Romney steel plant employee revealed he was offered a buyout when Bain decided to close the plant. Joe Soptic, the employee, has been in the news as of late due to an ad he made for the Obama-backed Super PAC Priorities USA. In the ad, Mr. Soptic says his wife died of cancer because he was laid off and no longer had health insurance.

However, not mentioned in the ad is that his wife found out she had cancer nearly five years after his departure from the plant. She died 22 days after her diagnosis. Transcript below.

Greedy union bastard not even qualified to mop up kids’ puke in a school. Offered a buyout that could have Cobra’d his healthcare (and his wife) to a new job that he was qualified for (oops....just an unqualifed bloated union employee - move along now). He did none of that because his wife already had healthcare when he got his just rewards.

A cheap bastard that killed his own wife by not planning.

With such a bald-faced lie right there for all to see - how is this not prosecutable slander for all involved including this very bitter partisan hack?

I just don’t know how ole Joe is going to make it without his wife and union boss to help him put on his pants each day.

Concocted under the guise of Free Political Speech. In my book he should be in prison for what he did. His implied accusation was slander, is slander and is unconscionable. If I were his neighbor, I’d put a sign on my lawn that says “I don’t even know the asshole who lives next door.”

And they admit it and essentially say so what? MSM won’t publish that. They’ll keep it on and they will move on to even worse lies. Evil, evil people —— enemies.

Romney's PAC should offer this guy a ton of money (not that he deserves it, just I think he'd jump at it) to make an ad for Romney, exposing the Democrats as heartless bastards who took advantage of his grief and made him look like a liar in front of the whole country.

Then they should release the ad two days before the election.

The Obama campaign didn’t run the ad; its SuperPAC did ... theoretically, no connection between the two.
