Ted Cruz, the Tea Party-backed Senate candidate whose upset Republican primary win in Texas made national waves, will be speaking at the GOP convention this month, but the role of one of his biggest boosters remains up in the air.
Sarah Palin has not been included on the three slates of convention speakers released by RNC Chairman Reince Priebus this week, even after he said Monday night that he wants her to play a role at the high-profile event.
I think a lot of her and hope that she does speak, Priebus told Fox News Greta Van Susteren.
The former Alaska governor and vice presidential nominee remains a favorite with the Republican base and conservatives like Newt Gingrich, although she still raises eyebrows among the GOP establishment.
She reminded many why she is so colorful and controversial by showing up at a Republican Senate candidates campaign rally in Missouri on Friday wearing a tight Superman t-shirt, oversized sunglasses, slim cropped black pants and sky-high platform sandals.
Last week, Palin told Van Susteren that she has been approached about a possible role at convention, but is waiting for more details before making a decision.
Of course theres some interest there, but you know, we just kind of want to know more details, what they have in mind, and we havent heard back, Palin said.
One rising Republican star who will be speaking at the RNC is Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker, who became a national GOP hero for slashing collective bargaining rights for unions and then fighting off a recall effort...

Cheer leader ?
She's supposed to be the candidate but instead has become some sort of UFO.
Nobody wants to listen to her...
The fact is that Mr. RomneyCARE OWES Gov. Palin
but as usual he is vicious against conservatives not on their knees to H*I*M.
"Peeking Out From the McCain Wreckage: Mitt Romney"
"Someone's got to say it: IS MITT ROMNEY RESPONSIBLE FOR OBAMA'S VICTORY?"
"Vanity: Team Romney Sabotaged Palin and Continuing to Do So?"
It's highly likely they already have, and the details are going to be released for maximum exposure during the convention, or right beforehand.
But it's painful for me to listen to her because she's bailed and it's a reminder to me of what might have been...if only...
Maybe the big tent, all inclusive GOPe is scared of her. She’s very popular, hard working and effective. Who would want someone like that associated with their party? Not the GOPe, that’s obvious enough.
Is the GOP COnvention is that where everyone gives grand speeches about conservatism?
We’ll I want to listen to Rush and Sarah both on primetime slots
How about Czarina of Romney Revisionism?
No? Then, how about Mr. RomneyCARE's Ambassador
to Chick-a-fil?
File for future reference. Richard Nixon was not invited by Goldwater to speak at the 64 Convention in(are you ready??) San Francisco. But he did make it to the convention 4 years later and gave the convention’s final speech.
Oh, next nominee, I should think.
It looks like Sarah was invited. Did you read the article?
If Romney takes her as VP, I am that much more inclined to vote for the ticket.
“Still missing from the list of convention speakers are the high-profile Republicans that Mitt Romney is reportedly considering to join the GOP ticket as his running mate. They include Ohio Sen. Rob Portman, former Minnesota Gov. Tim Pawlenty, Wisconsin Rep. Paul Ryan and N.J. Gov. Chris Christie.”
Sarah’s missing too. Maybe it’s too much to hope for.......
From looking at the photo, that superman t-shirt she’s wearing does not meet my definition of “tight” as stated in the article.
She could have SMOKED the primaries, brought Newt on as VP and kicked the traitor's ass all the way back to Kenya.
I'll never believe otherwise.
It would be fun to watch you have a melt down if, as is likely, she does.
She, unlike you, understands ABO, she coined the phrase.
I’d also like to hear Mark Levin, Michelle Malkin, and Ted Nugent speak, but I won’t hold my breath for that to happen, either.
