It’d be easier to do that with Ryan in the House, since he has walked through it already with every Republican.”

The money quote.
Ryan would be nuts to take the VP. Only if Rommney wanted to de-fang him would he make him VP.
Ryan would be more effective in the cabinet or in Congress. He would give Conserviative economics a muscle.
I don’t know that this is necessarily true. My guess is that there are other good guys in Wisconsin who could take his place in Congress.
