Here are 56 reasons why Barack Obama is a lying, lawbreaking, warmongering, corrupt cronyist, who loves corporate lobbyists and Wall St., and who has no respect for the Constitution, limited government, rule of law, individual freedom, civil liberties, the taxpayers, or sick people who have prescriptions for medical marijuana

Apparently the “process” Dick Cheney prefers is when a Presidential candidate picks Dick Cheney to head up his search committee - he seeks high and low - and finds out objectively that the man best suited for the job - is Dick Cheney.

What a Dick Cheney.

I don’t see what he ‘walked back.’

He basically restated his original position and added “nothing personal against her.”

is clarifying “walking back?” is being taken out of context a reason to “walk back” a remark?

That aint no walk back, that’s a double down
I guess it take a “mistake” like Bush-Cheney 2004 to be qualified to judge another VP mistake pick

Like he did the party and ticket a helluva lot of good from 2004 to 2008 and beyond ... NOT

Yeah, from everything I read (and I didn’t see the original interview), I didn’t really take it as a slam on Palin. He complimented her in the snippets from the interview I read...he was just not certain Juan McAmnesty had done the best job he could.

I also see why Palin might have felt she was being attacked, no question.

I admit to having great admiration for Cheney—I think many times he was the only conservative voice in the wilderness during the last months of the Bush administration. :)

An even bigger mistake was for the GOP to nominate a clown like McCain in 2008.

Comment on that, Dick.

At least on this issue ...

Say good night, Dick. Please.

I saw the original interview and he basically stated this in the interview. For him, it was all about her experience, which I questioned as well. As far as I know, it was nothing about her personal self or political views but about her readiness to become President if necessary.

Hey Dick. Let us not forget that all that “experience” you, Rove and Bush brought to the table did not end well.
The Bush administration, which includes you, Dick ended with
about a 23% Approval rating. One of the WORST in American History. And HELPED GIVE US OBAMA!.
So much for the experience you brought to the table.

I’m disappointed. I see no reason for Cheney to have said anything about 2008, particularly anything negative about Palin, regardless of what he may believe.

It STILL wasn’t a mistake, because Sarah Palin had more Executive experience than McCain, Obama and Biden combined! She might not have had extensive Foreign Policy experience, but that can be learned along the way, and why it’s important to pick the right advisors. That goes for ALL the issues in which the President is involved.

As far as choosing a running mate is concerned, perhaps the biggest mistake in our country's history was Ronald Reagan's choice of George Bush to be his running mate. I was on hand when Reagan announced his choice in Detroit. Although wild cheering drowned out the rest of Reagan's speech, I was not among those cheering. I worried that if Reagan won and Bush succeeded him, Bush would try to undo whatever Reagan accomplished--and he did.

Had Reagan picked someone like Paul Laxalt, neither of the Bushes would have become president.

Trying to to talk himself out of not being a Dick?

Experience comes in three flavors: Good experience, Bad experience and the dreadful No experience. Often, No experience can actually be Good experience.

How many people in public office have the qualifications to be President? Probably none. Politicians like to pretend that what they do is rock science – which it is not.

Bush made the mistake of keeping Chaney on the ticket for the 2nd term.

Left the GOP without a viable candidate.

But Bush had no concern about the GOP and the nation's future.
