President Barack Obamas re-election effort is paying close attention to two candidates mounting third-party campaigns for the presidency, believing they could draw votes from Republican rival Mitt Romney and help Obama win a few tightly contested states.
One candidate is Virgil Goode, a former conservative Virginia congressman who is running as a member of the Constitution Party....."
They're just Freetards. Not smart enough to troll...
Is this your new reductio ad absurdum take on it? It's still a non-Presidential non sequitur.
You know, I've figured out why you don't peel yourself off your computer chair and actually work to get yourself on a state ballot -- you would be taking away votes from Goode, not Mittens...lol
Based on what I’ve been seeing, Obama is right. Little mini Perots will do their best to reelect him. But they have their right to run for president, for whatever reasons they claim they are running for, no matter how futile and counter productive that might be. They are free, and soon we can all say, “So were we.”
If you are just starting to stock up on ammo and food, you are WAY too late. The GOP-E has tried to destroy the conservative movement for over 20 years.

This is why this is a fair warning.
We should be focused on purging the Romeny camp of RINO staffers, career staff leftists, closetted homo-activists, and other desk jockeys.
A third party useful idiot is a way to drain talent from the cause.
And i wouldn’t be doing the same if Romney is elected?
“If we can’t.’t stand for something, we’ll fall for anything” isn’t that the saying?
I just can’t do it anymore, vote for the “preceved “ lesser of two evils.
Is it a valid run when the candidate like goode or Johnson is being funded by the DNC directly or through surrogates? There is a point were it is no longer freedom but outright manipulation and elimination of freedom.
You're a troublemaker! You're one of those damned Republicans who keep insisting that the GOP candidate pander to you! You, you, you ..... panderfiend!

Good luck with that! The consensus in that wing of the party has been for "Me Too" socialism since about 1938 (traumatized by FDR -- Stockholm Syndrome, I guess).
As for closet cases, Romney made a big gay appointment not two months ago to his campaign staff. Romney loves gay guys in government, half his political identity is tied up in being "welcoming" to big-rich homosexuals who can drop bags and bags of campaign swag on his desk.
One reason the RNC keeps a calendar is so they can keep track of all the luncheon and dinner events they have planned with the Loggies and GOProud. Even Ann Coulter joined GOProud -- straight guys wouldn't date her if she wasn't cool. </snark>
If the republicans could actually put a candidate up that had ANY credibility, then this would not be an issue. With the exception of Reagan, I have had to hold my nose to go vote. Really tired of it. We need to stop letting the “idiots” chose our candidate and force feeding them to us.
Please don’t put words in my mouth.
I never said everyone who does this or that is a troll.
I never called any specific poster a troll.
All I said is that there ARE trolls.
constitution party candidates and votes
1992 Howard Phillips and Albion Knight 43,369 votes.
1996 Howard Phillips and Herb Titus 184,820 votes
2000 Howard Phillips and Curtis Frazier 98,022 votes
2004 Michael Peroutka and Chuck Baldwin 143,630 votes
2008 Chuck Baldwin and Darrell Castle 199,750 votes
2012 Virgil Goode and Jim Clymer
this does not even keep up with population growth as a per captita. In contrast to the MILLIONS of votes cast these third party nobodies do not even qualify to be a though on the radar let alone a blip.
I believe Badnarik of the libertarian party was mention here on FR in 2004 as recieving money from democrats to run ads in battleground markets to dilute Republican votes.
I know, right?
Fair enough. Sorry if I was misread.
All I said is that there ARE trolls.
My impression is that the ratio of Freepers with honest differences of opinion to trolls is about 9,999 to one. Your mileage may vary.
Most freepers don’t post, they lurk.
It only takes a few trolls (especially if they are well-disguised) to do a lot of damage.
Let me ask you this: if there is even ONE poster in FR who is actively working to re-elect Barack Obama under the guise of “conservativism”, and that poster is very active and even somewhat persuasive (Romney is the same as Obama, yadda, yadda, yadda)... would that poster make you nervous?
He created DEATH PANELS. What will he do next?
No. For two reasons.
First, I don't think that person would have the ability to do any significant damage. FR is not nearly as big or as influential as it used to be, and I haven't seen members on either side of the Romney divide whose minds have been changed by this circular firing squad.
Second, having one anti-Romney poster turn out to be a troll would be like having one Tea Party activist turn out to be a racist. Of course, it's possible, but it is not an excuse for a generalized attack.
What a friggin idiot. Amateur Radio operators have been invaluable during natural disasters.
