Ted Cruz, who rode a tea party wave to win the Texas Republican Senate nomination last week, said Sunday the movement will “overwhelmingly” support Mitt Romney in the November presidential election.
Mr. Cruz said tea party activists will rally in defense of the presumptive Republican presidential nominee because they’re “energized” to defeat President Obama.
“I have spoken with literally thousands and thousands of tea party activists, and I have yet to met a single tea party leader that is not going to vote for Mitt Romney and work hard for him,” Mr. Cruz said on Fox News Sunday.
“Our country is in crisis, and we’ve got to stop this Obama agenda if we’re going to preserve opportunity for our kids and grandkids.”(continued)

yep. That’s what I said a few months ago when many of us were crying about Newt Gingrich’s marital issues. They just couldn’t bring themselves to vote for Newt though. well, I just can’t bring myself to vote for Romney. I’m just one Ohioan though so don’t worry too much about it.
One of the things that makes me livid is that people do not think 2 inches ahead of their immediate ‘want’ of the moment. The ABOs are all gung ho on the “We;ll feal with Romney later.”
OK but did they stop for 2 seconds and think what that will entail? I don’t mean Romney himself. I mean the left. Because when the ABOs finish their tantrum guess what? All the liberals out there STILL have a champion of their causes in a position of power who already said he’s not going to repeal DADT and Roe. He is 100% on board with a number of leftist positions he’s very open about - from Boy scouts to socialized medicine.
