THIS IS THE KIND OF CELEBRATION THAT DESERVES CHAMPAGNE FLOWING, NOT SOME STUPID SPORTING EVENT. GOD BLESS YOU ALL ON BEHALF OF ALL MANKIND!
To: PA Engineer
Amen! I just woke up the house with my clapping and hollering. That skycrane idea is so cool. And the fact that we got pictures within a minute or two of landing is amazing.

When you have kids, the big hope is that they are healthy.
Curiosity is down, and it’s healthy. JPL is a proud father/mother tonight.
I’m located about 5 miles south of JPL right now.

It’s fantastic! Some of them are crying.
To: LibWhacker
Fantastic. You just know Obama and the rats were hoping for failure, so they could shut down the space program for good.
A lot of those libs would like nothing more than to see us stick to the low ground (Earth) while everybody else goes to the moon and beyond.
To: Windcatcher
Man that programs in ADA needs lots of naps and prunes.

Obama inherited this, but he will claim credit for it tomorrow.

Great picture of the shadow.
To: LibWhacker
I read its nuclear powered. Dont know if thats true, tho. I suspect its a misunderstanding by the reporter. But... does it need solar panels? Getting away from solar panels would be a big improvement, imho. A true nuke. Plutonium battery.
To: Fledermaus
Sure does...
I’m thinking the illegals won’t get credit for this either, but you never know over at DNCp central...
