At least four people were shot just after 10 a.m. Sunday at the Sikh Temple in Oak Creek, and a police SWAT team entered the building before noon and brought uninjured people out of the building at 7512 S. Howell Ave.
Among those who were shot was the president of the temple.
People were in the temple as early as 6:30 a.m. Sunday and many more were arriving for a service that was to begin about 11:30 a.m.
There were reports that children were taken to the building's basement after shots were fired.
Yeah. It keeps the viewers guessing and glued to the TV. I find that soooo irritating. As soon as we have it pretty much figured out, they pull the rug out from under us - "We were just kidding. That never happened."
No chit...they have yet to even clear the building, so anything CNN says is pure speculatioin...Im watching but listening to the scanner.
If you didn’t notice CNN was looping the same old footage, you’d think 100 command vehicles and 1,000 dogs had been brought on the scene.
That said, I’m doing the same thing, listening to scanner and watching said loop.

They are calling in more and more police. Doesn’t sound like a scene wrapping up to me.
What I meant is their message mainly of peace rather than the anti-western stuff you sometimes see.

When at first there were no reports of deaths, I was hoping that the shooter had failed to kill any of his victims. Unfortunately, he did what he killed out to do. He killed innocent people, and there are three in critical condition. The only consolation is that the shooter was taken out too.
I don’t understand how some are still “trapped”inside... What does that even mean if there’s not another shooter?

CNN’s doing speculation while saying it’s too early to speculate.
Democratic Undergrounders are blaming Fox News, Free Republic, Islamophobes and, of course, GUNS.
Reporting now is it is only one gunman, who was killed by the police.
While I’m glad the shooter is dead, part of me wants to know what the hell was going on in his head. Hopefully he left enough evidence to get an idea, and I can be happy he was taken down.

That doesn’t make sense. It should be, “Unfortunately, he did what he SET out to do.”
By now the dead shooter has been identified, his home searched, work/friends identified and being fully investigated. Can’t help but think the visiting priest was the target or is somehow key to the shooter(s) motive.
