Blessed are you when they revile and persecute you and say all kinds of evil against you falsely for My sake.
The bolded word is an inseparable feature of the blessing.
When Christians in America go to prison like Chinese Christians still sometimes do, for standing for Jesus Christ, it will be other professing Christians who condemn them.

He lived up to it just fine, but his neighbors were not inclined to peace in their hatred of Christ.
Some folks can't be lived peaceably with. They will make a habit of finding something to gripe about, and some of those will press their neighbors to join them. They sow the seeds of dissent wherever they go, and where there are two people, they will pit one against the other.
By their fruits ye shall know them.
