The World War II generation is mostly gone. Emotional infantilism reigns throughout the culture. Using Jew-hate to fish for votes was inevitable.
Brushing aside all the posturing and rhetoric, where does the Israeli government meet to conduct business and store it’s bureaucrats that make the government function?
I truly do not know.
I think it is Tel Aviv
I don’t think this will matter much in November’s election. Obama’s socialists despise Jews but already plan on voting for Obama - much like the national socialists and soviet socialists hated the Jews of their generations and supported the predecessors of today’s far left Democrats. Those who love freedom and support Israel already plan on voting against Obama. The undecided voters are indifferent to Israel and will not be affected by any debate over Jerusalem.
If the above statement were made about any country other than Israel, it would be viewed as an insane statement. The capital of a sovereign country to be determined by "negotiations?"
But then it seams that Israel and Jews are always "special cases."
The last time I checked, "ethnic cleansing" was considered to be a "bad thing." Except when carried out against Jews. In fact, it seems as if most of the world is trying to make "The City of David" a Jew free city. And the Israeli government has bent over backwards to comply with those who state that Jews have no claim to Israel, even when the land was purchased by Zionists, because as we know, arabs and muslims don't recognize Jewish land ownership in Israel, and in the surrounding countries (and in the pali occupied areas of Israel) the sale of land to Jews is a capital offense.
