Well, I went and watched his apology. He should have simply stopped at “I’m sorry.”
I honestly think Mr. Smith needs to shut off his computer and spend some time clearing his head. This was a sad mishmash of barely-coherent political correctness and his talk of people as “collateral damage” is especially disturbing.
For his and his family’s sake, I hope he can get his life back on track.

When someone looks up and away from the camera as he does several times during the video, he is lying. Classic tell.
My guess is that he’ll be working for the Obama campaign in some capacity. Who knows, he might be the campaign equivalent of the circus geek that travels with each venue and is called upon to bite the head off a symbolic CFA chicken....
I feel sorry for his wife and children. She chose her mate poorly; worse yet, she had four children with him. She needs to get rid of him and move on.
As for him? Screw him. He got what he deserved and no amount of self-serving displays will change anyone’s mind I think.

I didn’t watch the video, but started skimming some of the posts on this thread. I started out kind of interested, but after a minute I realized I am wasting my time giving this guy too much attention. He is an attention whore clearly on the start of a long trip down to obscurity, and continuing to give him attention, even bad attention, is the wrong thing to do. So goodbye Adam Smith. See you, never again.

A real man would have gone back to that store and apologized to her face and asked for her forgiveness in person. And a real man would have kept what he did to himself. A real man wouldn’t make an 8 minute long video of it and certainly not post it for the public viewing.
I don’t know you, Adam Smith, but I’ve known dozens of people just like you throughout my life. You’re a vain, narcissistic, self centered little man who doesn’t give a rat fart about other people no matter how loudly you claim otherwise. You’re a self-aggrandizing snot so wrapped up in your own insecurities you’re completely blinded to the pain you cause others.
I’ll bet there was a huge collective sigh of relief when your former co-workers saw you being escorted out of the building carrying a cardboard box full of your personal belongings.
I had hoped that this incident might teach you something. After all the most painful lessons are the ones rational humans, and even animals, tend to learn from best. But after sitting through half of that painful and pathetic joke of an apology I can see you haven’t learned a damned thing.
Adam, I’ve watched a lot of folks just like you go down in flames over the course of my life. The best part of it is they do all of the work and I just have to stand by and watch it happen. You, Mr. Smith, have provided what is perhaps the singularly best example of that anyone has ever seen.
