Reid: Romney is guilty of tax evasion until he proves he’s innocent
The Examiner ^

Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid, D-Nev., said that the burden of proof is on Mitt Romney to prove that he hasn’t evaded paying his taxes, despite the legal principle that a person accused of a crime is “innocent until proven guilty.”

Reid accused Romney of what amounts to tax fraud, but he doesn’t think he to provide evidence for the charge. “I don’t think the burden should be on me,” Reid told reporters on a conference call, according to the Las Vegas Review Journal. “The burden should be on him. He’s the one I’ve alleged has not paid any taxes. Why didn’t he release his tax returns?”

The Nevada Democrat earned a law degree at George Washington University in 1964 —

By that logic, Hairy is guilty of tax evasion, doing strange things to small dogs with dinner forks, and sleeping with little boys until he proves he's innocent.

RE :”Of the names being bandied about as potential VP pics by Romney, (Pawlenty and Portman to name two), most have all the charisma of a mashed potato sandwich. What Romney needs is indeed, an attack dog who can take it to the enemy and that means Congressman Allen West.

Now that would set the race on fire. Imagine Dems trying to demonize a black conservative ex-soldier who kicks butt. Even I would get enthused at West as VP candidate going after Obama, now I can barely keep my interest and I expect the worst.

I agree Pawlenty strikes me as a another wimp. I wont support candidates that cant support themselves and so far that is Romney.

He has not done his part unless or until he addresses this festering sore. Shrugging his shoulders and avoiding the issue is not going to make it.

Willards problem is those off shore accounts to save taxes...

Theres no problem having themn if you want to remain a private citizen all your life ...

But when you have had lifetime ambitions yo rise to the office of presdient of the United States and you have been groomed for the role as Willard has by his father since boyhood, you better cover every base and make sure you are squeeky clean and the opposition cant tiuch you...

By being greedy...thats not fault if youre honest in your finances...Willard has opened a door to be scrutimized by most Americans as less than qualified for the office...

Willard should have been more careful about his money...

When you have $300 MILLION like he has a few million in taxes is not going to be missed...

Willard had so much money coming in at a very early point in his life at Bain that there is a photo of he and his partners showing off their large denomination dollar notes...cramming them in their pockets and holding them with pride and laughing with joy...

Also He already had enough money that when his father died he gave whatever George left him to his religion...rather than pay the inheritance tax..

Not taking the pittance the pay of the MASS governor also helped him avoid moving into a higher tax bracket and he could still claim it as a shelter...

the same with the pay he refused at the Olympics..

However he still accepted all the perks...he lived in the governors mansion and had free travel etc..and lived and travel like a prince during the Olympics gig..

and he still profited from the income from those Bain stocks...

His volunteering for his father every time George ran for office would have been carefully documented and claimed on his taxes as hours spent for free...

George got to claim the travel and expensives that Willard racked up...

Has Willard committed a crime in the handling of his taxes ???

Probably not...Harry seems to think he did...

His error was in not acting like a normal less wealthy American citizen and paying all the taxes he should have...

He would hardly have missed the money...

He already had more money than he could spend in his lifetime when he left Bain...

He must have...

He hasnt worked one day for pay since and yet he has made MILLIONS...

Try explaining that to a guy who is out of a job...

Although Willard could not have foreseen the Obama administration ...Did any of us dream of this time when our country would stand on the edge of bankruptcy ???...he might have considered his image as a future wannabe president...

Camelot was a different time and America was rich and powerful then...America was awed by the “royalty” that governed the country...

Now people are out of work jobs are scarce, and homes are being foreclosed...

Will America elect a guy who owns 5 homes and vacates at his own lake side summmer resort complete with toys , expensive motor boats and skidoos ???

What will America think of that same guy pulling down a perfectly good 5,000 foot home be the ocean to build a much larger dwelling complete will elevators for his many expensive cars ???

Regardless of the fact that Harry Reid and John Kerry and Nancy Pelosi all have multiple home themselves they will know just how to go after Willard...

And this is just one of the examples...

when he persisted that Romney has to prove his innocense,
_________________________________________________

Unfortunately in that you have a problem...

people insist that Obama “has to prove his innocense” and come up with his records... birth record etc...

Dont think the Democrats wont see the irony and use it.if you insist on different rules for the game...

Should Obama prove he is eligible to be POTUS ?? Of course...

But as his accusers the Democrats can now say ...as they have indeed said in the past...it is up to us to prove he is not...

So in this instance it is up to Willard to prove his tax paying has been legally attended too..

and why shouldnt he ???

You cant have it both ways...

For more than 4 years people have been requiring Obama to prove “his innocence” and produce his b/c...

I was a guest on a radio show about illegal aliens in April of 2008...a caller asked me about whether or not I thought Obama had been born in Hawaii...to this day I regret that I didnt know more about the issue...I thought at the time like many others that he had been born there...I said he was and the the host of the show said he was and asked the man why he would even question the birth place...

It was a few weeks later that I learnt more about the contraversy and became an honorable Birther...I had already known about NBC but I hadnt realized Obama Sr had not been an American citizen...

I too have demanded that Obama prove his parents innocence and his own eligibility by producing the records...

Dont think for one minute that the Democrats will let our persistance slide...

They too will demand Willard produce his records...

Eventhough Willard has mocked the birthers and said Obama was born in Hawaii and is eligibible, the Democrats wont excuse him...They will de4mand proof..

I can see another Senate vote on the eligibility at birth of the GOP-e nominee ...

George Romney, Willards father, was born in Mexico...

Dont think that wont come around and bite us in the butt...

“Shame on Nevada for re-electing this scum”

I take exception to this remark. If ever an election was stolen, this was it. Everybody knows it, but nobody can prove it.

I think you are mixing apples and oranges. To be eligible to be president, one must be a citizen by birth. There is no requirement one has to show he has filed income taxes or even produce the copies. Frankly, unless there were some IRS filing against him, the presumption is he filed taxes and has nothing due and owing.

Our illustrious president has not shown he is eligible to be President even being asked to produce the original documents.

Damage to Romney? Ignoring makes Reid look irrelevant and petty. Answer such charges sends a message that where there is smoke there is fire! Harry is making a democrat ass of himself, actually only proving he is a democrat ass.

REID IS BEING HIS NORMAL WEASLEY RAT FACED NAZI LITTLE BASTAGE SELF...

HE KNOWS VERY WELL THAT ROMNEY PROBABLY DIDNT PAY TAXES DURING THAT TIME...

AND THAT ROMNEY DID IT LEGALLY...

YOU SEE WHEN YOU LIVE OFF THE PROCEEDS OF YOUR INVESTMENTS, THAT MONEY IS TAX FREE...SO YOU WOULDNT HAVE PAID TAXES ON IT..

SO REID IS USING A PLAY ON WORDS TO TRY AND FORCE MITT TO RELEASE HIS TAX RETURNS...

WHY IS HE DOING THIS...

THATS EASY...FIRST..REID IS A RATFACED LITTLE NAZI BASSTARDD

SECOND.. THE DEMS ARE IN AN APOLIPTIC STATE OVER MITT, BECUASE THEY CANT FIND ANY DIRT ON HIM... WHAT THEY DO IS THEY ALWAYS...PERSONALLY ATTACK THEIR ENEMY... THEY DRAG UP THE DIVORCES.. THE BANKRUPTCYS, THE AFFAIRS, THE SCANDALS...

THEY CANT FIND ANY OF THAT ON MITT !!!!!!
THEY ONLY THING THEY HAVE A CHANCE AT IS DIGGING THRU HIS TAX RETURNS...TO FIND SOME DIRT..OR NOT BUT PRETEND TO..

HERES WHAT MITT SHOULD SAY...

THE VERY MOMENT OBAMA MAKES HIS REAL BIRTH RECORDS AVILABLE...ILL RELEASE MY TAX RECORDS...

FAIR IS FAIR..EH...

Comrade Reid has now, ON THE SENATE FLOOR, accused Romney of felony and not paying taxes for 10 years. (video) Still no proof offered. Then again, he has made it clear that no proof is required to back up an accusation.

Harry Reid is guilty of a felony, accessing and disclosing the content of a private citizen’s tax information. (Federal Privacy Act of 1974)

Supposably the Nevada State Senator in Godfather II was modeled after Harry Reid.

He was the guy who told Michael C. to take his shiny silk suits back to NY. Then the senator was caught with a deceased prostitute, suddenly Michael C was the senator’s best friend.

How about it Dingy Hair and/or Harry, did you murder a hooker and sell out to the mob?

The people have the right to know.

Reid is saying this from the safe confines of the Senate floor where you can lie all day and not face a consequence. He’s a fool and this is more fodder for Romney.

Reid supposed to be a leader, yet he believes every rumor that comes his way? Where’s his gravitas and skepticism?
