PHOTOS: Chick-Fil-As Across The Country Are Absolutely Jam-Packed

By all early accounts, Gov. Mike Huckabee's "Chick-fil-A Appreciation Day" seems like a wild success.

Conservatives are lining up in droves. Former Republican presidential candidate Rick Santorum is offering his support and urging supporters to visit a restaurant. One Wendy's franchise owner expressed his support for Chick-fil-A at a North Carolina Wendy's.

Chick-fil-A originally incurred a backlash when COO Dan Cathy affirmed in an interview that the company did not support gay marriage.

"We are very much supportive of the family — the biblical definition of the family unit," Cathy said.

Some mayors around the country — including Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel and Boston Mayor Thomas Menino — have publicly supported the boycott of Chick-fil-A.

According to its Facebook event page, more than 630,000 people planned to go to Chick-fil-A today.

Many of them took to Twitter and Instagram to document the craziness. As of this writing, there were almost 60,000 Instagram photos tagged with #chickfila.

Sugar Land, Tx. CFA, was a Zoo this afternoon, the TV stations were filming lunch.. Hundreds were in line and I never got inside, I can’t stand that long.. A youngster from my neighborhood, saw me waiting, and asked and brought me a great shake and wonderful soup to me outside..

It was a great site seeing so many clean-cut, fellow conservatives, with beautiful families standing up for their freedom to think, as well as speak.. GO CFA!

Easton, PA 18:00

Waited in line about 30 minutes to place my order then another 15 for the food. Then drove home about 35 minutes to enjoy a tasty meal with the mother of my two kids and said kids.

When I left CFA, the line of cars waiting to park was about a half mile long. BYW, nothing but smiles and good conversation at CFA!

Rural Virginia — girl at the counter said the lines were out the door since 600 am. I asked her if they expected it and she said they thought it might be busy, but did not expect anywhere near the amount of customers.

Interesting too — the place was JAMMED packed and every single person there was polite and patient with the wait.

Mrs. Walrus and I just finished our spicy chicken sandwich meal in Erie, PA

What an awesome experience! We spent an hour in a drive-thru line that wrapped around the building a couple of times. As we crept along, we talked with folks who were in the line to go into the restaurant. Everyone was smiling and in great humor. Despite the extreme congestion, there was nary a horn honk or a cross word from anyone.

We saw old, young, black, white, well-dressed, sub-casual, long hair, short hair, bikers, nerds, clean-cut, tattooed and body pierced, able-bodied and disabled.

What we saw, in short, was that much-ballyhooed “diversity” -— but a diversity that was really secondary to an over-arching sense of community based on a common sense of shared values ... traditional AMERICAN values.

It’s a beautiful thing.

Michelle Malkin was reporting that an individual Wendy’s franchise owner put up the sign standing with CFA, but was forced by Wendy’s corporate to take it down. Wendy’s then issued a statement saying that they didn’t approve of the sign and tweeted that “we proudly serve ALL customers”, implying that CFA discriminates against homosexuals.

That shot of SR200 outside of Ocala is just incredible! You can see the cars just waiting in line in the right turn lane from the Chick-fil-A, out of the parking lot and onto the road.
