At 10:00 p.m. CDT, with 75 percent of the vote counted, Cruz is leading the long-time, Texas politician and current Lt. Governor, David Dewhurst by an astounding 56 - 44 Percent.
Gov. Rick Perry went all out for Dewhurst. Don’t be surprised if Governor “Good-hair”, who embarrassed the State of Texas with his Presidential run, does NOT serve another term as Governor of Texas.

Drove me nuts. Had a daughter about to give birth(she did on the 10th of July, a beautiful girl) and had to listen (and delete) those calls to hope I didn’t miss a really important one.
I certainly won't be. I've never really liked the guy, and only voted for him (twice) because he was the least putrid of the bunch running.
He got the 'Romney' vote in the last two gubernatorial elections, but he won't get lucky again, I can guarantee you. Both he and his Dem-RINO buddy Dew-worst need to go.
