As the use of smart phones grows across the nation, both President Obama and Mitt Romney are seeking to leverage the technology with new campaign apps.
The Romney campaign on Tuesday launched a free app called "Mitt's VP," which will allow users to learn who Romney has chosen to serve as his running mate as soon as it's announced.
"There's no telling when Mitt will choose his VP. But when he does, be the first to find out with Mitt's VP app," the campaign teased on its website.
The app, available on iPhone and Android platforms, will give users immediate notification and let them share the news on social media.
Now that his trip abroad has wrapped up, Romney is expected to announce his vice presidential pick soon. One of his potential choices, Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida, promoted the new app via Twitter, sending out the message, "Who will be @MittRomney VP?

So you think Romney will be different than Obama? The only difference is when socialist policies are put forth by Obama then the GOP (with tea party leadership) puts a stop to it. But when Romney puts forward socialist policies the GOPe and many Rats will be able to beat the tea party and approve them. We either get 8 years of RINO Romney or 4 years of Romney followed by Hilary. I’d rather put up with Obama (and fight everything he tries to do with a united tea party and GOPe) and THEN maybe the GOP will finally nominate a conservative candidate in 2016. I certainly will not vote for Obama but I also will never vote for Romney.
It will be Portman or Pawlenty.
Two reasons he’ll never pick Palin.
1. He despises her and the religious right.
2. Two of her family members are on reality TV shows. That’s hardly a classy attribute for anyone serious about politics.
Yup. Romney is a pro-choice moderate, and his judicial picks will reflect that. More than a few liberals I know are fine with the prospect of a Romney presidency because they know he’s liberal. They find great humor that the GOP’s candidate is pro-choice and has disdain for the Tea Party.
Hay Scientologist, name me three pundits more serious about politics than Sarah Palin.
Some people can multitask ya know.
You first point is right on though.
Romney has been working on destroying Palin’s influence for years, with the help of McCain et al and of course the GOP-e
My question to them is “how’s that going for ya?”
