Reporters accompanying presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney yelled questions at Romney about his so-called mistakes and gaffes on his foreign trip as the candidate left the Polish Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Warsaw today.
The barrage prompted one of Romney's press aides, Rick Gorka, to lose his cool at reporters. Of course, those reporters are making the aide's profanity the story and not their own incredible rudeness.
A transcript of the incident via CNN's Jim Acosta in Warsaw:
CNN: "Governor Romney are you concerned about some of the mishaps of your trip?
NYT: "Governor Romney do you have a statement for the Palestinians?
Washington Post: "What about your gaffes?
NYT: "Governor Romney do you feel that your gaffes have overshadowed your foreign trip?"
CNN: "Governor Romney just a few questions sir, you haven't taken but three questions on this trip from the press!
Gorka: "Show some respect"
NYT: "We haven't had another chance to ask a question..."
Gorka: "Kiss my ass. This is a Holy site for the Polish people. Show some respect."
Acosta added: Moments later, Gorka told Jonathan Martin, a reporter for Politico, to "shove it." About a half-hour later, the aide called reporters to apologize.
The news media would be crucified if they treated Barack Obama this way (they never would, of course.) They should be crucified for their infantile, insulting behavior.

I have long had this fantasy where a Republican, hopefully a Conservative as well, is accosted by a media skurj intent on ambush, and the soliloquy goes like this:
Reporter: Mr.__________, I'm a reporter with (fill in appropriate media organ here), and...
Republican/Conservative: Oh? I'm sorry to hear that.

This is an excellent, comprehensive summary of Gov. Romney’s life and credentials. The campaign would be wise to use this. There were quite a few points that I did not know and I have been very plugged in since the primaries. Very concise and very strong. Romney was not my choice in the primaries but this information casts him in a strong light.

But Willard will very proudly tell you that during the Vietnam War when he refused to serve in the military himself, he would walk around campus with a big sign urging other young men to go and fight..
He was too important to go himself being the trust fund baby son of a rich man, but he had no conscience about demanding that the sons of poor men should go instead...
