If we keep dumping baseload plants it will happen. Coal, hydro and nuclear keep this country lit. Natural gas and green peakers can’t do it.

Actually India is much better prepared then US to handle extended power outages. Due to frequent power cuts most essential services are actually have gas fired generators for back up power supply. In US an extended power outage can be a nightmare. Heating systems goes down. Stores and gas stations are closed because registers wont operate.
In contrast life in India goes on quite smoothly even during an extended power cut.....with the minor inconvenience of not being able to use the fan during the summer.

Yes, it’s coming here. The reason they all lost power is because they gave up their coal fired power plants.
1/10th of humanity lost electricity over a hoax.
