WARSAW, POLAND Fresh from a warm embrace from iconic Polish leader Lech Walesa, Mitt Romney will wrap up a three-country trip overseas Tuesday with a major speech that he hopes will send a message that he's tough and more willing to take a harder line with rogue nations than President Barack Obama is.
Romney arrived in Warsaw late Monday after a day in Gdansk, where he enjoyed the most enthusiastic reception of his six-day trip, which was marred by controversies at the first two stops, in London and Jerusalem. He was greeted in Gdansk by crowds that swarmed in the streets, though some were apparently there for an arts festival and one group held a 10-foot-long banner supporting Romney's primary rival for the GOP presidential nomination, Texas U.S. Rep. Ron Paul.

Poland and many other countries will certainly do their best to help the U.S. restore its leadership position," said Walesa, a former president of Poland who last year refused to meet with the visiting Obama.
"After our conversation I am quite confident that you will be quite successful in doing that," Walesa assured Romney. "Individuals who have struggled all our lives really favor the kinds of views and perspectives that you share."
He repeatedly said he wished Romney success.
"I wish you to be successful because this success is needed to the United States, of course, but to Europe and the rest of the world, too. Gov. Romney, get your success - be successful," Walesa said emphatically.

Lizzie Warren is Polish......when it’s to her advantage.
How High magazine has international subscriptions now.
On the other hand, if you already have a favorite candidate and you like him, you vote for him and you be proud of the fact you're voting for him.
In the New Mexico “Art” Community, “Tau Food” is code word for that which is “consumed” during oral sex between two males.
+1
How can you ‘proudly vote for him’ when so far, he hasn’t been able to answer if he has qualified to be on a single ballot.
That is the most basic of hurdles to show you have the competency to run even the smallest campaign, like school board.
Gee, I’ve never heard that before. I’ll bet you and your boyfriend are the only two people in the world who know that. ;-)
I'd have more respect for you if you simply admitted you think Obama would be a better alternative to Romney, as some of the more honest anti-Romney FReepers do.
I’ve never claimed to have the competency to “run even the smallest campaign.” I’m just a voter.
Listen, go to his website and read about Tom’s campaign. If, like me, you tend to agree with him more than you agree with his opponents, then don’t be afraid to support him. I think that’s what we’re supposed to do as voters. I admit that four years ago, I got talked into voting for McCain as my “only alternative” to Obama. Romney is the reward I got for loyalty. Thanks, but no thanks, Karl Rove. I’m not voting for any more liberals, period.
You’ve never watched them vote for communists here in Cook County, then.
Tau Food is a troll who, if not zotted as he should be, will never be heard from again after November.
That would make a great graphic - Obama, mommy and daddy all building the Berlin Wall.
I have read his words and debated with him many times here.
The problem is, they are just words. I and many others have asked him to post his resume to show his history of actually turning words to action and he has refused. When asked for his resume, he points people to his website which is just statements of belief, not an iota of experience listed.
He won’t even say what college degrees he has or what private sector experience he has.
If we demand this from Obama and complain when he hides it, we should hold those who claim to be on our side to the same standard.
Without experience, words are just sound waves in the ether, nothing more, nothing less.
..and I’m not talking about your competency, I am talking about the competency of the one who is asking to be Commander in Chief of the United States Armed Forces.
And I'm saying that a vote for a candidate like Tom who has virtually no chance of being elected POTUS in 2012 is not something for which you should be proud. It's an exercise in futility and a proxy vote for Obama.
The only time that the elitists in the GOP listen to regular people is on election day. If we don't let them know on election day what we will and will not accept, then we deserve anything we get next time around. We need to reject Romney and we need to be seen to reject Romney if we want any kind of respect.
What do you think Obama will accomplish given four more years?
Wonderful picture,I was invited to met him two times. The first time I was not willing to fly to Poland.
You're absolutely right. I can't disagree with that and I'm not unmindful of that.
But, I am sickened, I mean truly sickened, by the "experience" and background of both Obama and Romney (not just one of them, both of them), so what's a guy to do?
