I’ve said all along the GOP doesn’t intend to win the white house. America is a mess and fixing it will require heavy lifting that will bring unrest and they don’t want anything to do with that.
Every candidate other than Romney would have been a far better action candidate but the GOP wanted a soft non threatening globalist who won’t rock the boat.
Cheney expressing the opinion that a more experienced vp candidate is better cannot remotely equal his not wanting to win the White House. It is the exact opposite, it is a solid approach to winning the White House.
They have no reason to. When they lose, they still get their "fair share" of the loot and don't have to do the heavy lifting. Then they can concentrate on churning out more legislation to justify taking out more money from the treasury and stuffing their bulging pockets.
Romney is a rabid pit bull up against a conservative. But when his opponent is a fellow liberal he is all wussy and such. Making the ex_Premier of the CommieWealth of mAssholio a phony big time.
These comfortable elites are in a nice predicament - trying to lose but destined to win, anyway. Yes, the events of 2013-2016 are likely to result in a Great Establishment Cleansing, but they can't avoid that now by hoping to be overlooked.
