The Japanese major television network JNN (and others) reported on its national news today as well as website a hefty diplomatic faux pas by the Obama White House and national security team in advance of White House's National Security Advisor Tom Donilon's trip here to Tokyo. The gaffe is referred to in this short video clip (at link) of JNN Network News today.
Go to link, hit white arrow in center of photo to stream; stream may be up one more day and may not work on all systems. Hilarious.

The video links to Japanese TV news stories usually last no more than 24 hours or so, so I am not surprised that they (JNN/Yahoo) took it down. It is SOP. But it must be archived somewhere; it could be found no doubt. And if not a video, certainly a hard J news story with the key words, "Yoshiko" ヨシコ and "Donilon" ドニロン in paraphrase quotes in Japanese.. They even zeroed in on the National Security briefing book page that had the gall to list the Japanese PM's name as a "female". Diplomatic asshats.

ANOTHER SCREW UP!
Now it emerges the idiots actually referred to their Prime Minister as "Foreign Minister Noda" as well, but this belongs to Foreign Minister Gemba.
All around, a diplomatic cluster-f is you ask me. Japanese web pages, blogs, etc. are full of it, Google News with the search words for the female name they used for their Prime Minister and NSC's Donilon go on for page after page after page. I do think they have been insulted. It shows there is no quality control in the US foreign policy mechanism, and they are also (again) slighting US allies. Jackwagons.

It shows why happens when you have a bunch of 30 something “intellectual” staffer tools running the show instead of people that actually understand Japanese. My daughter is 8, understands Japanese marginally, but still laughed her ass off at this mistake.
We’ve never had a President this amateur and I’d hate to think what would happen in the event of an actual crisis.

On his site there is a place for tips that may go to his email or something.
I know it was on the right side towards the bottom, unless he changed it. Go see.

OK. More is coming out now. From Nikkei. The Japanese version of the Wall Street Journal. Soon mainstream MSM in USA will NOT be able to ignore it. I will throw up a link and a quick translation for the Monday morning crowd in the USA (talk show hots, bloggers, Freepers, commentators, political parties and candidates, etc). It could be an excellent way to change the subject and put Obama back on DEFENSIVE about foreign policy while he is getting hammered in the capitals of UK, Poland and Israel in the next few days. Just thinking. They are going on offense, so we have to find a soft underbelly, kick them good, double them over and then push them out of the ring with offensive G-2 on our side. Right now, it is just bubbling out of Japan. LOL.
