Romney’s Best Convention Strategy – Let Sarah Palin Speak
Examiner ^ | July 27, 2012 | Kevin Fobbs

“Let me assert my firm belief that the only thing we have to fear is fear itself—nameless, unreasoning, unjustified terror which paralyzes needed efforts to convert retreat into advance.” President Franklin Delano Roosevelt thundered out those captivating words at his first inaugural speech in 1933. GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney must seriously confront the political ghosts haunting his decision to let Sarah Palin speak at the GOP National Convention in August in Tampa, FL. Allow Palin to speak so that a Romney administration can turn economic retreat by Obama into economic advance.

This is the time when Romney has the opportunity to not fall into the carefully laid traps of liberal commentators like MSNBC Chris Matthews with his over the top hyperbole or his fellow liberal combatant-in-arms Lawrence O'Donnell. Each has never seemed to miss an opportunity to cast verbal grenades at Sarah Palin, since 2008. Their goal is quite simple, demonize Palin, the Tea Party and plant the seeds of distrust in the American consciousness that Palin and the Tea Party is kryptonite to Romney and in their crude way, also to America.

This liberal convention strategy is quite clear. They want fear of Sarah Palin to be the ongoing sound bite that reverberates in Romney’s mind. They want the truth about the horrendous economic affects that millions of Americans are feeling every single moment of every single day in their homes to be blurred out. They want Americans who are hurting in Ohio, Tennessee, Iowa, Indiana, and Michigan and all over the nation to be hidden behind campaign advertising lies blasting daily in their homes. If Sarah Palin is added to this liberal narrative, then her ability to connect and motivate conservatives and millions of independents is neutralized by their calculated deceit. But you see, the “nameless, ...

Something is a foot.

On Hannity the other evening one of the female talking head mentioned that Sarah had obtained a large facility within a five minute walk from the convention center, Shawn bout jumped out of his seat trying to shut her up...He knows what’s happening..

Sarah was asked in an interview recently about being asked to speak...Her comment: wait a little while and we’ll have an announcement to make.
Christy is the keynote speaker, so it’s not that. What’s left: Introducing the next VP candidate?

Why would she need a large facility?

Opening a story with a quote from a socialist slob like FDR is never a good start. Either way, yes Palin should be invited.

Why would he allow her to speak? It simply reminds Conservatives of everything he is not while driving a wedge between him and his squishy base.

Romney wouldn’t dare allow Palin to speak. IF she did, then people would realize that she should be the nominee not Romney. He would look so pathetically weak and anemic next to her. Nope, it won’t happen.

That would be the smart thing to do even though I don't see it helping Mitty much at the ballot box as the Christian conservatives have too many issue's (that's plural, as in many, for all of you Romneybots) with Mitt to support him much, if any. But them Mitt has not been known to be very bright, politically speaking.

Personally I would council Palin not to give any speeches on stage at the convention that could even remotely be construed as to show support for Mittens. If anything just say she is looking forward to the nations election in November and leave them guessing!

This is a show of radical anti-conservatism by the Romney/Rockefeller wing of the party, a commitment to totally drive Reaganism from the GOP.

Governor Palin was the most popular Governor in America, perhaps in history, and only left office in mid 2009, she was the most important Republican in the 2010 historical election gains, Governor Palin is the most valuable endorsement in America, and SHE WAS THE REPUBLICAN VICE-PRESIDENTIAL CANDIDATE LAST ELECTION, she gave the greatest speeches in 2008, she is the greatest American female speaker in American history.

This attempt by the GOP to kill off the top Republican and the greatest female political leader in American history (and she is amazingly only 48 years old), who is the woman who rose the highest within their party which suffers attacks of being "anti-woman", is extraordinary.

Reagan in a skirt! and they want to kill that?

Yes, FReepers, it is his job. It is a full time job, although it doesn’t pay anything. If there is a thread that mentions Romney, Diogenesis will be on it like white on rice. Count on it.

You are confused, little Monkey-RomneyBOT.

YOU, and your Master Mr. RomneyCARE, support Obama and the DNC
which is why the DNC nominated Mr. ROmneyCARE.

Obama and the DNC LOVE YOU and Mr. ROmneyCARE for throwing Election 2008 to THEM.

FLASHBACK:

The McCain/Palin ticket was up ++4 to 10 pts
in some polls, days prior to Election 2008.
So rather than helping the GOP, Romney and
TeamROMNEY and the RNME (Republican National Media Establishment)
decided …to attack Gov. Palin to throw Election2008.

Romney, and the Van der Sloot RNME RINOs for Obama in 2008

Late in October, The American Spectator's The Prowler revealed:
"Former Mitt Romney presidential campaign staffers…
have been involved in spreading anti-Palin spin to reporters, seeking to diminish her standing after the election.
'Sarah Palin is a lightweight, she won't be the first, not even the third, person people will think of when it comes to 2012,'
says one former Romney aide…
'The only serious candidate ready to challenge to lead the Republican Party is Mitt Romney.
"Some former Romney aides were behind the recent leaks to media, including CNN, that Governor Sarah Palin was a 'diva' and was going off message intentionally."

The Palmetto Scoop reported: "One of the first stories to hit the national airwaves was
the claim of a major internal strife between close McCain aides and the folks handling his running mate Sarah Palin."
"I’m told by very good sources that this was indeed the case and that a rift had developed, but it was between Palin’s people and the staffers brought on from the failed presidential campaign of former Gov. Mitt Romney, not McCain aides."
"The sources said nearly 80 percent of Romney’s former staff was absorbed by McCain and these individuals were responsible for what amounts to a premeditated, last-minute sabotage of Palin."
… aides loyal to Romney inside the McCain campaign, said The Scoop, reportedly saw
that Palin would be a serious contender for the Republican nomination in 2012 or 2016, which made her a threat to another presidential quest by Romney.

"These staffers are now out trying to finish her off ….hoping it would ingratiate themselves with Mitt Romney."

"Who's the Palin Leaker from the McCain Campaign?
National Review Online The publication of a Vanity Fair profile of Sarah Palin
appears to have opened old wounds in the McCain campaign.
... the source of the “Diva” leak was Nicolle Wallace’s husband."

"National Guard Lt. Anthony Circosta poses in his backyard in Agawam, Mass., on June 9, 2007.
At left, his wife Danielle and daughter Kylie, 2, talk near the swing set. Circosta,

April 9, 2009, Juneau, Alaska – Governor Sarah Palin today signed a proclamation declaring April 9, 2009,

I was prepared to donate to the Romney campaign, and then he decided to apparently stiff Sarah Palin for a chance to address the convention. Now I am holding back until after the convention to see what transpires.

Sarah is the most prominent spokesperson for the conservative wing of th e GOP. To shun her is a really stupid move on the part of Romney.
