The unemployment rate in the city of Chicago is approximately 9.8 percent, well above the national average. Since Monday night, one 17-year-old boy has been shot and 13 others have been wounded in shootings across the city. And thats just the most recent wave of shootings to plague the city dozens more have been shot over the last few weeks.
And Mayor Rahm Emanuel is taking action: hes banning Chick-Fil-A.

This isnt going to go away. The left wont stop until every Chick-Fil-A restaurant in the country is forced to close.
Maybe if we help by stopping in a little more, it will help them survive.
I mean they will find some legal loophole to close them down.
I’d like to see the Rahm and his gaystapo’s reaction if gay-owned businesses were banned in some small town.
I smell a Supreme Court case coming on this. It’s an interesting juxtaposition of free speech, free commerce, and excessive government. And even with this mushy Court, I don’t see any way the PC Politburo can win.
This is the time for ALL good Americans (meaning conservatives) to support Chick Fil A fully and totally.
Chick Fil A is a huge supporter of local charities, and they do so without huge fanfare. This family is now stopping at the local Chick Fil A as often as possible. Everyone else needs to do this, too. Plus, the restaurants are closed on Sunday, so their employees can have some family time.
WE, the good Americans, need to start standing up to this nonsense.
Get out there and eat more chicken!!

There is one near Detroit and I doubt Dave Bing will be telling them to take a hike.
Why do you think homosexual "rights" is such a political steamroller?
Gay men are electorally insignificant (1.5% or so). In a recent survey, same-sex male couples were 14.5% - IN THE CASTRO. Same-sex households are 0.6% nationwide.
So it's not the numbers.
Obviously, since politicians exist only for votes, this issue is enormously popular with non-homosexuals.
Why?
I notice that there’s no provision on the mayor’s office website, for contacting the mayor. He doesn’t want to be bothered with hearing from the little people. This guy is an arrogant, condescending carpetbagger. I hope he runs for governor ASAP and then for president and gets the crap kicked out of him in that election. Anything to get his rear end out of Chicago.
His name should be Ram Man.
I can’t see any legal way they can legally impose bans aside from zoning laws but even that strategy will fall.
I checked yesterday and there are already 2 CFA in Chicago.
Sounds like theres going to be a coordinated use for the hackneyed OWS freaks.
Yup. He can “suggest” the SEIU and OWS thugs pay those restaurants a visit to harass/threaten customers and employees. Harass the customers to the point where they stop going to the restaurant, and they would be forced out of business. It would be the Chicago way.
And just on what legal basis can he ban a business?
Especially when no laws have been broken and no crime has been committed?
Chik-Fil-A needs a sharp lawyer to shut up Emanuel and Menino.
Once again, we see that Democrats are the enemies of freedom.
Now, they are enemies of God as well.

In Boston what Menino said he’d do is harrass the hell out of them—the city’s permitting and other bureaucratic crap is what Rahm-crap intends to use. It highlights the tyranny of government bureaucracy and makes it more difficult to take the city to court: “we’s just doin’ our due diligence here, going over your permit applications with a fine tooth comb. Nothing to see here.”
The city’s permit system turns every homeowner into a criminal. They are judge and jury on interpretation of the ordinances, so even though on paper you don’t need a permit as long as renovations simply replace what was already there, they can define any replacement as really doing something new and require a permit. There isn’t a homeowner in Chicago who couldn’t be harrassed out of existence if they wanted to do it to him.
So everyone begs hat in hand, please Mr. Bureaucrat, pretty please, permit me to drive these three nails into that stud over there, please, please.
I see the list of permit applications for my neighborhood on a local “by the block” web search engine. People are applying for permits for the most minor repairs. By ordinance they don’t need a permit but they are scared silly of harrassment and figure it’s cheaper to pay off the city via the permit fee than have the inspector show up and shut down your project.
Practically speaking, they don’t have enough inspectors to do this to everyone, so it becomes simply a system by which someone can sic the city on his enemies.
Or the Mayor High Potentate Crap-Face can sic the city on Chick-Fil-A.
How can you take “basic bureaucratic abuse of power and harrassment” to the Supreme Court???? If anyone can do that, I hope he does it.
Since Rahm is on a “crusade” to shut down all establishments that support the Biblical view of marriage, does that mean he’ll try to close the churches next?
Sorry for the multiple posts.
Not if Conservatives rally and support Chick-fil-A. I went there yesterday for dinner and took a carryout home. The country is dividing into two waring camps. This is just another manifestation of the dividing of American society.

There was quite a bit of fallout. They took heavy criticism, Sanders said. But heres the thing: Their sales increased.
