The Founder's Intent
In the great picture you posted, “The Founder’s Intent,” it appears that the Continental Army soldier on the lower right is wishing that he had an AK-47 at that moment. ;-)
[Little humor there. AR-15s are fine when kept clean. So are AK variants. I was issued M-16s, M-203s and several other weapons for duty for a few years. ...carried ‘em for at least 100s of miles and many, many days and nights...fired ‘em for many, many hours on ranges.]
