TALLAHASSEE, Fla. -- Former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush thinks Sen. Marco Rubio is ready to be vice president and he shared those thoughts with presumptive Republican nominee Mitt Romney, he said Wednesday.
Bush said he has been a huge fan of Rubio's for years and hopes that Romney chooses him. He said he made his pitch to Romney in a recent conversation, but the former Massachusetts governor didn't reveal which direction he was leaning. Bush said the choice is a personal one and respects Romney for keeping his thoughts close to his vest.
Romney has said he is considering Rubio, a freshman senator who was elected in 2010.

FUJB!!! Rubio sucks!!
Can’t the Bush family just go away and be quiet?
Who gives a flying —— what Jeb Bush wants?
You just hate him because he’s a Gator. :)
I’m for Palin.
That’s just me though.
Jeb Bush, the RNC flying monkeys, and the Republican D. C. talking head know-it-alls with liberal brains, diarrhea of the mouth, and impacted bowel tracts.
Who cares what Jeb Bush wants!?
That would be fine by me. I think he’ll pick Rubio or Martinez though.
Rubio doesn’t meet the citizenship requirements
I just think Palin gives him a guarantee, against a Hillary candidacy.
If Romney goes with a Mexican-American, yes he can mobilize a certain proportion of the voters in that segment of the voter base.
However if he nominates a female, he’s got a nominee who will take a certain percentage of EVERYONE.
Even if Hillary runs...
All the GOP needs is another RINO weak on the borders, weak on National Security, weak on terrorism....and pushed by a Bush
And, Rubio will not bring in Hispanic voters....Mexican-American, Puerto Rican-American voters are not exactly enamored of Cuban-American politicans.
Rubio means 4 more years of Obama
According to you. I’ve already read dozens of threads about the argument, so I won’t waste either of our times.
I’d love to see Rubio on the ticket...
Martinez is Hispanic and a woman.
Well there is that.
:D
(I’m sticking with Palin, just on general principle)
He’s a Hurricane. Nevertheless, he has never been able to keep his own affairs in order. Rubio owes far more on his $384,000 Miami home than it is worth. He bought the home in 2005 for $550,000 with a $495,000 mortgage. He soon had it appraised for $735,000 and took out a home equity line of credit for $135,000.
In 2008, despite earning a declared $400,000 - including his $300,000 salary from the Miami law firm Broad and Cassel - Rubio failed to pay down the principal on his home for several months, according to Florida campaign finance disclosures.
During the same period he did not pay down the balance of a $100,000-plus student loan from his days at the University of Miami, the disclosures said.
Poor Marco. He’s boned.
He got his law degree from UM, but he got his BA from UF.
final disqualification!!!!
