I, like most Americans, believe that the Second Amendment guarantees an individual the right to bear arms," President Obama said at the National Urban League convention in New Orleans. "I think we recognize the traditions of gun ownership that passed on from generation to generation. That hunting and shooting are a cherished national heritage."

"But I also believe that a lot of gun owners would agree that AK-47s belong in the hands of soldiers, not in the hands of criminals. That they belong on the battlefield of war, not on the streets of our cities," Obama said Wednesday night.

I totally support the Second Amendment, BUT there are certain guns I want banned. Many gun owners agree with me. Lots.

He is obviously not American. The right to keep and bear arms in this country comes from a right to protect oneself from criminals AND sometimes an unjust government. I think that’s what the whole Declaration of Independence was about. Maybe he could visit some of the places like Williamsburg where they still talk about the British military taking away their arms.

I hate him more than I have ever hated an individual in my life. I think that this is the first time that I’ve ever felt hate.

My husband was two blocks from the Fort Hood massacre. 13 innocents lost their lives BECAUSE THE DOD WON’T LET TRAINED SOLDIERS CARRY GUNS ON POST.

Good, strong, trained, heroic men and women were mowed down because the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT WOULDN’T LET THEM PROTECT THEMSELVES.

I hate him so much.

I'm in the same boat. I thought Clinton was bad, he angered me so much but that pales in comparison to now. Heck, I even wish we had Clinton back, it is so bad. As for AK-47 as apposed to a high powered semi-auto hunting rifle is almost nil. Except that the hunting rifle is probably more accurate.
