Washington GOP Establishment hits Bachmann for fighting Muslim Brotherhood.
Is Huma Abedin the new Alger Hiss?
Is Huma Abedin to the Muslim Brotherhood what Alger Hiss was to the Soviet Union?
Why are Republican Senator John McCain, Republican Speaker of the House John Boehner and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Mike Rodgers (R-MI) acting in the growing Abedin controversy as Washington Establishment Democrats of the 1940s did in the Hiss episode? Which is to say, writing off the dangers of a foreign enemy whose goal is to infiltrate the U.S. government -- because, well, the people in question are part of the Washington Establishment?
And last but certainly not least, why is the Republican Establishment pursuing a losing strategy in the war against Islamic radicalism? Is it returning to the losing strategy it pursued during the Cold War -- a strategy that was overturned over Establishment opposition by Ronald Reagan's victorious "we win, they lose" strategy?
These questions arise because of McCain's vehement attack on Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann. Bachmann, along with four other conservative House members (Louis Gohmert of Texas, Trent Franks of Arizona, Thomas Rooney of Florida and Lynn Westmoreland of Georgia), has written a series of hotly controversial letters.
What did Bachmann and the others do to infuriate McCain? And draw a rebuke from Boehner and Rodgers?

HOMELY GIRL....
Hmmm... Just thought of something troubling. If this woman has contacts in the Muslim Brotherhood, and access to people in the Administrations national security circle, could she be the leaker? Tin foil hat idea?
McCain makes a pretty good Alger Hiss if you ask me
Then she's not "the New Alger Hiss," is she?
Yup.
Her position in State Department, The administration encouragement and participation in the Arab Spring and all the countries that are beginning to fall into the control of the Muslim Brotherhood certainly seems fishy.
Yes. And the elitists are having another Hiss-y fit trying to shield one of their own.
I understand trustworthiness to mean simply, shouldn't she be vetted like anyone else in her position.
I remember the Hiss tumult ever since the 1950s.
IMO, yes she is the new Hiss.
Alger Hiss wasn't that homely.
There's nothing "fishy" about it.
Should we be surprised that the Muslim Brotherhood is trying to get a seat at the table? No. There's nothing "fishy" there either. Should we throw a fit because those people elected members of groups we don't like? No. That's not how diplomacy works.
McCain and Boehner and many others are absolutely right to not let this Media-spun communist witch hunt mentality define the Republican Party in a critical election year.
The committee's own chairman takes a dim view of the trouble these five are causing.
I'm not surprised Bachmann's involved after watching her campaign.
We have a broken system, no doubt about it, because no question can be asked, however legitimate, without the Democrat party and its media accomplices demonizing any questioners as racist bigots in an effort to divide America further and capture ground in the voter demographic battle.
Maybe we'd have been better off politically if Al Gore won in 2000 and 9/11 happened on his watch.
When Hiss was called to testify before Congress no one was accusing him of a crime, either. It was only when he perjured himself before Congress that he was accused of a crime. Of course, the Venona decrypts had him dead to rights, so the intelligence community was on to him, but prosecuting him for espionage would have blown the Venona operation, and we were sure hoping that the Soviets would make a mistake like again.
Three years on someone wakes up, as my father used to say, with his (her?) hand in the night pot!
Question: Is the Swine Hillary Clintoon being lead around by the snout by Huma Abedin...
answer: Listen for the Oink...
Did Huma pass a security clearance, just as all State Dept. employees? I don’t see how. Don’t they ask questions about friends, family and acquaintances and their involvement in questionable activities?
Nah, she’s more of a Licker than a Hisser.
