Calling for widespread action to stop gun violence in Chicago, about 70 faith leaders from the city and nearby suburbs gathered Monday for prayer and reflection.

In the interim, a significant alteration of the ease with which the law-abiding might obtain the means to effect self-defense is very much in order - and, yes, would significantly CUT the incidence of homicide and other crimes of violence, as it has done everywhere it’s been tried.

Here in NJ they’re a political group, but their influence has waned since Latinos displaced them in relevance. They are each a mini-Jesse Jackson, hoping for their piece of the racial extortion pie.
There is one, and only one solution, to this problem: kill all of the gang members and criminals. Summary trial & execution. Reduce the number to zero. No jail, no prison, no appeals, no plea bargains, no rehab, no parole, no 3 strikes crap. Just kill them. Absolutely zero recidivism.
Yeah, I know; it’ll never happen. But that is the only plausible solution, at this point in time where our highly-criminalized society now exists and is continuing to go everyday. A truly sad commentary is that nothing else works or will work. It’s only going to get much, much worse if it isn’t dealt with brutally and immediately.
The difference is managing expectation. You expect that out of a cesspool like Chicago...not so much out of Colorado.
Change must come from the inside, to have God’s laws written on our hearts as we have seen the destruction caused by our sins in our own lives..Many hearts are hard and will not grow the seeds of truth, love, and life...truly rocky soil in those who live only in hate..very destructive in all aspects..no social programs, no weapons banning can make the changes occur.
