Now that President Obama's health care overhaul has won the last stamp of approval from the U.S. Supreme court, the question you're probably asking is, Who's going to pay for it?
The Affordable Care Act will extend health care coverage to some 30 million uninsured consumers along with an expansion of Medicaid services. It also promises a slew of tax credits for small business and middle-income families to help offset the costs of mandatory coverage.

Anyone have any idea what it's going to cost a single/family for coverage? All I find is articles on 'penalty fees'....which is useless.
At a minimum, your cost will double. And that is real cost, you must adjust for inflation to get your dollar amount.
Also, your access to health care will be significantly reduced, as you can not increase demand by 25% with the same infrastructure. More folks demanding to see the same number of doctors = huge delays for everyone.
I have no idea, and don’t think anyone else does either, NOT YET anyway. I received this email, it does a super job of explaining Obamacare. This video should be a campaign ad for Republicans. Pass this one on.

Almost no one is aware that selling their home mandates a 3.8% obamacare tax ON TOP of the normal sales tax we’ve always paid. This starts before Romney is inaugurated in January.
If you’re selling your home after january 1st, be prepare to pay an extra $9,500.00 to pay for sloths to get “free healthcare.”
Much of the cost burden will be shouldered by the health care industry and employers that provide workers with insurance.
Because health insurers and employers will just keep all those costs themselves, and it won't change their costs, or hiring behavior one bit! Right!
Wow—passing this on. Thanks...
Thanks for the info. Shocking about the house tax :(
The 3 % is after the first 250K I understand.
Meaning that none of us know what is really in that BILL, but this video breaks it down giving the bill's page source so it can be verified, if desired.
This VIDEO should go out in ALL FREEPERS emails.
I know Democrats that voted for this Abomantion, but WILL NOT AGAIN. Thing is THEY WERE WARNED BEFORE THEY VOTED. It was the "D" behind the name.
The link below describes the impact of the surtax and the expiration of the Bush tax cuts for single filers and couples at the cutoff for the top bracket.

With respect to people with incomes below $200K, most of the impact will be changes in the premiums and copays of your employer plan or your private plan. Given the wide disparity in these types of plans it is difficult to project the final impact. The law encourages employers to choose low end plans so the individual/family may find their premiums stay the same or decline while their copays and deductibles rise dramatically. The other unknown is how the increased taxes on insurance companies and pharmaceutical companies will be passed through to the consumer. Certainly drug prices will rise so big pharma can recoup higher costs. Insurers will either raise premiums, reduce benefits, raise deductibles or adjust copays. There are so many variables it is difficult to project the impact on an individual.
Remember Obamacare requires plans to provide “free” services that benefit specific consumer (i.e. free contraception to women and coverage for abortions). People who do not consume these services will pay higher premiums to cover those who do. The ultimate impact of these “free” services on total costs is not know but the history of economics shows when people are given something at no cost, they will use more of it.
At this point it is fair to say those with incomes below $200K will experience some combination of rising premiums, higher copays, deductible increases, and drug costs rising. Likely the most challenging aspect of full implementation of Obamacare will be the addition of 30 million or more people who are currently uninsured to the system. The Massachusetts experience with Romneycare suggests a shortage of healthcare services will occur with the addition of more consumers having subsidized care. One intangible incremental “cost” average middle class consumers pay will be increased wait times for services and the provision of services by lower skilled health care workers (nurse practitioners and physician assistants instead of licensed physicians). No doubt for some critically ill patients, or patients with undiagnosed critical illnesses, the increased wait times or failure of less skilled providers to properly diagnose conditions will result in premature death. Rationing of critical services to seniors, which undoubtedly will occur due to both mandates from government and shortages of skilled workers, will also result in premature death. In the end, the out of pocket financial outlay for premiums, copays, and deductibles may not be the price consumers need to worry about.
Crap. I passed this on, but now I am checking his page numbers and statements against the bill (like my co-workers will)- and they do not MATCH?
Your post is incorrect.
The tax is NOT a transfer tax on real estate sales and similar transactions. Not long after the tax was enacted, erroneous and misleading documents went viral on the Internet and created a great deal of misunderstanding and made the tax into something far more draconian than the actual provisions.
Here is the explanation:

Even though Romneycare was the blueprint for it, I can't believe Romneycare is STUFFED with all the hidden taxes. Am I wrong?
This is the winning argument for Romney, if he DARES to use it, break it down in his ads for all to understand. Maybe some SUPER PAC can do this for him.
This election will be won on JOBS, the Economy, TAXES and Obamacare and it's hidden taxes.
I did not check it. Where is it wrong?
page 29 lines 4-16 health care bill
I'm just going to stay out of it from now on...there seems to be no facts out there...all lies and slants!
See my post....looks like this guy just made it up.
You have to pay for it before you can find out what’s in it.
Just send in everything you have, and everything your children, grandchildren, and great-grand-children will ever have. That will be a good start.
Signed, Barack
There is enough in that BILL the scare the begeebies out of anyone, sure does me.
This Administration has a way of playing with words, i.e. "it's a penalty fee, no it's a Tax" in regards to the Mandate. What is to say they are not playing with words in all the rest, I tend to think this is the case. That bill is slicker than Mercury, the wording can/maybe changed at their will to mean whatever.
We will just have to READ the bill, haha, No wait, we will just have to let is all slip up on us one item at a time to find out what it means. I give up.
I'm not arguing with you Fawn, just thinking out loud. lol. Thanks for your assistance on this.
