You're exactly right.
She wasn't in control of herself once she got drunk.
Nor were the boys.
She didn’t violate anyone, she fell asleep. Sick, sick thinking you got there.
You wrote:
“She consented when she decided to get passed out drunk.”
Really? So, if you drink too much, it’s okay for someone to rape you?
If you have surgery and they knock you out, can your doctor also rape you while you’re on the table? I mean, after all, you consented, and your doctor was in the mood so it must be okay, right?
Evidently the story at the NYP has been changed since yesterday.
Yesterdays story quoted her admitting she drank until she passed out drunk.
This is what you said, implying that her ‘claims’ were in some way not truthful because since she was passed out drunk at a party it ‘appears there is more to the story’:
“She goes to a party and drinks until she passes out and then claims she was raped. I’m not saying the perps are necessarily innocent but it appears there is more to the story.”
From your post you appear to be a foolish, foolish woman.
Going to a party where there will be alcohol, drugs, and almost certainly sex, is very different than a hospital environment.
Then, willing drinking in such an environment (party) until you have no control over your person is inviting, or at a minimum, permitting, tragedy, and that’s what happened.
Not all that different than willingly running out onto a busy freeway.
If you want to play on the freeway, OK, just dont blame someone else if cars start to drive over you.
That's appalling. Nobody has a right to rape or sexually assault a woman who gets drunk, even if she's stupid enough to get drunk around a couple of guys she doesn't know.
In another cultural perspective, you're just telling me that western women deserve to get raped in Middle Eastern countries for dressing in provocative ways - like showing their ankles. After all, they chose to play on the freeway.
I agree, and I thought you were nuanced in your observations.
We also don’t know what other evidence and witnesses there were.
But I think everyone can agree that a gag order on such a conviction is heinous.
That’s actually the total opposite of consent bald guy, it’s called RAPE. People make mistakes all the time but dont deserve to be sexually assaulted and photographed during said assault.
WTH is the matter with you? Comments like yours make FReepers look like shariah loving muslims.

I’m neither a woman nor foolish, but your obvious lack of discernment reveals what a jackass you are (as if that was in doubt).
“Going to a party where there will be alcohol, drugs, and almost certainly sex, is very different than a hospital environment.”
I agree. And yet, in both cases, no actual consent was given - except in your delusional mind. Being at a party does not excuse rape. Being drunk does not excuse rape. Being passed out doesn’t excuse rape.
“Then, willing drinking in such an environment (party) until you have no control over your person is inviting, or at a minimum, permitting, tragedy, and thats what happened.”
Drinking too much is inviting trouble, but it is not an excuse for rape. If you leave your window open at night, you’re making it easy for a thief. That doesn’t mean he has the right to steal from you.
“Not all that different than willingly running out onto a busy freeway.”
There’s a difference. The drivers on that busy freeway are not trying to hit you. They hope to God to miss you in fact. The rapist wants to rape you. Running onto the highway makes the driver a victim, not you - the idiot - who ran out there. No consent means RAPE.
I don’t know everything about the situation. She got drunk and passed out. There appears to be more to the story.
You deliberately ignored my post #31. Don’t play the I’m more virtuous than you act with me. I have defended more women from dangerous, bad people than you ever will. A woman who is genuinely threatened would much rather depend on me than someone like you.
“But I think everyone can agree that a gag order on such a conviction is heinous.”
Agree. A gag order might make sense for some people (like the bad guys), but NEVER for the victim. Something in this judge’s head is really, really, messed up. I think that this ‘victim’ unlike (I’m sure) many prior victims of this judge will get this behind her and do JUST FINE for the rest of her life. I admire her and I think this whole thing will end once she settles down with a REAL MAN and starts having kids. I have no concern for her, at this point - she is AWESOME!!!
Bottom line here: You speak like a sex criminal. Not saying you are one but you undoubtedly support them.
Really? They had the control to sexually molest her and to videotape it. It's appalling that you detach blame from them and blame the victim.
Have a nice, if misguided, day.
“Really? They had the control to sexually molest her and to videotape it. It’s appalling that you detach blame from them and blame the victim.”
Actually they were also impaired in their judgement by booze as well so lets cut the kids a break here. Who hasn’t done bone stupid things when drunk at that age? And as we have no idea what was done to her you could be overreacting to what was actually done, I get the feeling that the judge (who has all the evidence, NOT us) had a good reason for putting a gag order on this gal. Talk about a lynch mob mentality, all these white knights that want to rush out and off some kids is just appalling, especially as no one here has any idea what happened.
yea, and judges are known for being so awesome in their rulings.
I am disappointed by the large contingent of Freepers who are defending the willful and uncivilized behavior of the segment of society that is responsible for civilizing young men. No wonder we are in such trouble.
When we still had satellite TV I used to watch Judge Judy, and while I didnt always agree with her, I especially enjoyed it when she got little girls like this foolish one in front of her.
The girls were SO confident, especially the drinkers. They thought being intoxicated excused their bad behavior. They bleached their boyfriends clothes after an argument, they went to parties and started fights, they smashed up someone elses car, they pulled other others hair, they even slammed the boyfriends car into Park at 60 mph.
They got drunk, passed out, and then blamed others for what happened to them.
Jude Judy played with them for as long as it was entertaining, then she put the screws to them.
Seldom did they win their cases, and in one situation where there were three girls on one side, she singled out the one most likely to tell the real truth, put her on the stand right next to her (IIRC) got the truth out that they had all been drinking, sent her back to here two friends and dismissed the case. That all happed so quickly one of the others said what the hell just happened? as they were sent out so the next case could be tried.
You all can see this in anyway you want, but my thinking has been markedly influenced by Judge Judy, the LaCross Case, countless stories posted here on FR about the false cries of rape, and common sense.
You want to play in the freeway, youre gonna get hurt.
This foolish woman put herself in a similar situation, went to a wild party willingly, drank willingly, willingly stayed in the company of other drunks, including young men who were also not in control of themselves because of alcohol and/or other drugs got passed out drunk. Now she want to blame others for being a fool.
Whats worse, so do many Freepers, including presumably, a Scoutleader, who of ALL freepers should know the meaning in individual responsibility.
Sad story.
Doing stupid things while drunk does not include rape or any type of sexual assault. That is not considered stupid, it is considered criminal. Judges downgrade sex assaults frequently, even dismissing a given cases or labeling them with STET. This does not mean that the person/s did not commit the proven crime, but the judge did not rule properly by calling a spade a spade.
