I support killing the program for 5 years. Bring about a 100% overhaul.
Let people understand how widespread the damage can be for keeping silent and allowing this stuff to go on.

The administration of Penn State will be forced to dance for one hour, on national TV, while wearing pink tutu’s. Then they will have to admit that they like turtles. Carry on...

Good. I was a HUGE Penn State fan for decades until last fall, but I agree its time for the axe to fall.

Over 90% of the people who will be affected by bringing down Penn State athletics had nothing with Jerry Sandusky and didn't even know Jerry Sandusky. Anyone who can be shown to be involved helping or protecting Sandusky should be prosecuted. Anyone involved in the cover up should be fired. People at Penn State who had nothing to do with this should be left alone.

I fail to see how mass punishment of university faculty and students, sanctions against entire sports programs, that had nothing to do with Sandusky and his cabal of enablers, “teaches” anyone anything.
This is a cure for homosexual pedophilia and its tolerance by people who are now gone?
Why not just raze ol’ State down to the ground.
THAT will punish the chickenhawks who preyed on little boys and girls and the men (now dead or gone) who let them do so?
Lets go back and revoke the tax exempt status of Second Mile and re-tax everty contributor, too. After all they all are guilty, right

I never liked Joe Paterno. That said, if the NCAA punishes Penn State for something unrelated to competitive advantages that might have been gained, Penn State will sue and win.

Kill the football program forever.

This disgusting same-sex rape of young boys should be remembered to constantly remind the gay community of this obsession they have with boys, including those in the military who are now forced to co-habitate with these perverts.

The penalties have been termed "unprecedented" and will be leveled at both the school itself and the football program. The only thing I want to see leveled here is the entire campus.

Why is the NCAA involved at all? Exactly, what rules were specifically broken? What competitive advantage with recruits did this provide Penn State?
The NCAA is there to provide for fairness, not criminality.

Go after the staff at the school. Find other schools for the football team and close down their program. It’s not the kids fault. They will lose millions by not having a football program and it serves them right. But again, help the kids out of this mess.

Penn State Athletics, and the Administration, and the Town of State College, covered up these crimes, because they were afraid it would effect the CASH FLOW brought in by the football program.
The ONLY solution is to kill the Football Program for a LONG TIME, to send a strong message to ALL of the parties involved.
