As a concealed carry holder one must be aware of their surroundings. It is always on my mind that my bullet is my responsibility until it comes to a stop. If it hits the target and goes through him and kills someone else you have a serious problem. Crowded areas can create heroes but it can also create felons.

If you're at the mall, theater, etc. and bad guy(s) are indiscriminately shooting women, kids, people in wheelchairs, etc. its gut check time.

Get your family safe and keep them safe - that's the main reason I carry. Very few nuts will charge the person shooting at them from a shielded position.

From my oft considered scenarios - get you and yours safe as quickly as possible, shooting may make you a target so wait until you have to or have a good opportunity to do so.

Indiscriminate shooting of civvies demands your best efforts if you're armed - this is America. Act accordingly.

For what its worth I keep two rounds of MagSafe on top to keep things flexible.

You can “unload” them quickly but it does give you a degree of protection from over penetration.

YMMV. ;-)
