NJ Sen. Lautenberg Planning to Reintroduce Gun Control Legislation In Wake Of Colorado Shooting by Josh Feldman | 10:21 pm, July 20th, 2012 » 169 comments
Despite all of the calls not to politicize the Colorado shootings last night, gun control advocates have been demanding that politicians use it as an opportunity to take action on national gun laws. The Brady Campaign to Prevent Gun Violence said earlier that they “don’t want sympathy” from President Obama and Mitt Romney, they “want action.” It is with all of this in mind that New Jersey senator Frank Lautenberg is planning on reintroducing gun control legislation on the Senate floor to limit high-capacity magazines.

According to The Huffington Post, Lautenberg brought similar legislation to the floor following last year’s shooting in Arizona involving former congresswoman Gabby Giffords. At the time, Lautenberg said that “the only reason to have 33 bullets loaded in a handgun is to kill a lot of people very quickly” and pledged that he would introduce legislation to ban high-capacity ammunition clips.
Lautenburg’s office sent this statement to the Post earlier today:

Guns don’t kill people - crazy people kill people with all kinds of objects and in all manners. Laws will not make a difference,m bans or restriction will not.

Since the SCOTUS has determined that we can be taxed for a product/service, then someone should intro a tax bill requiring every single citizen of the USA to have a firearm.
IIRC the Swiss are required to have at least one firearm (carbine) per household, and they seem to be doing OK;)

They never mention the millions of robberies,assaults, rapes,attempted violence, etc. that are averted by brandishing a weapon or displaying a weapon, each year!
You’ve got to admit that this cadaver has sticktoativeness. Everytime he gets the chance, there he is with another gun control bill.

The truth be told, its just one more way for them to control the population and not the nut-jobs of the world such as the individual or individuals who where involved with massacre. I had a argument with one gun grabber today. I told them I didn’t believe it happened as the theater was a “Gun Free Zone.” They didn’t like that.
