While the Daily Kos first reacted with horror like everyone else to the Aurora shooting, it didn’t take too long for the America-bashing to begin. The blogger known as “Killer of Sacred Cows” grew angry that Rep. Louie Gohmert would suggest the madness could have been stopped sooner if someone else in the theater was packing heat. That apparently put him in “Idiotsville.”
But KoSC really wanted to blame the American Culture of Violence for the shooting, that our screwed-up social system doesn’t tolerate diminished mental capacity, it creates it:
..we keep seeing the MSM talking heads endlessly speculating on why he did it. But notice - nobody is going to bring up "the American Culture Is Violent" as a reason, because that would mean it's not just about this one crazy lone gunman, but about US. And that means we might have to change.The problem with that is getting past the mental and emotional resistance of those who continue to believe that we're the best country in the world, the best culture ever produced by human beings, and the best everything else...
It's the American culture of violence that allows a dips--t like Louis Gohmert, (R) Idiotsville, to claim that more violence will somehow solve the problem of violence and to know that the majority of his supporters will agree with him. It's the American culture of violence that moves people to support vigilantism instead of due process. It's very likely the American culture of violence that causes people like James E. Holmes to do what he did - one person on my Facebook page said "I find it interesting that the automatic reaction is that this is diminished mental capacity, instead of a reaction to a system." That's because we can't handle the fact that diminished mental capacity often comes about AS a reaction to a system.
While we mourn the loss of innocent Americans, it might be worth adding that another Kosmonaut, Paul Bibeau, after unloading his opinions on Bible verses and Chick-fil-A, thanks the restaurant chain for its effective killing of those disreputable Southerners:
“I love your chicken, by the way. I mean, it's so unhealthy it's probably killed more Southerners than crystal meth, General Sherman, and illegal fireworks combined... but it's undeniably tasty. If you stop shooting your mouth off about that book you haven't read, people like me might come back.”
Press conference said he got the ammo on the Internet...so much for gun bans. ha.

I’m not sure a guy with a gun could have stopped him. Apparently he planned for that possibility. He was suited up for the job.
Since cops now dress like jack boot Nazis this guy was allowed to enter at the front of the theater dressed in assault gear. The people who saw him had been conditioned to automatically think he’s a cop.

I’ve traveled quite a bit outside the USA and generally liked the people I’ve encountered. Cultures other than our own are interesting and well worth the exposure. I haven’t traveled insulated by the five star hotel, often in Southeast Asia and Mexico, I’ve stayed in people’s homes. I can say with confidence that even those placed I’ve liked are no where close to the United States of America. Of particular importance is our freedom to govern ourselves and earn our livings. It is this Liberty Kos and his fellows want to take and replace with some form of collective society.
The progressives see the world through ideaolgical lenses. Also, most of them think that, as Lenin’s “Professional Revolutionaries” they will be spared the pain the will inflict on the masses.
Daily Kos is right on with America’s Culture of Death.
After all Generations X & Y have seen their mothers, sisters, aunts, and girl friends wanton disregard for the lives of 50M innocent unborn babies.
We are reaping what we sowed.
The Koss people are sick, stay away from them. They may bite and infect you with some horrible malady.
Due process? When someone is firing away, unrestrained?
I suppose the dip-stalinist behind this angry rant wants our troops in combat to never fire a shot, instead begging the other shooters to lay down their weapons, surrender, and be read their rights before a return shot can be fired.

The intellectual midget that wrote that needs to realize one simple fact. If he/she believes we are not the best Country in the world, one of the many great things about this Country is that he/she is free to leave it. So go to where-ever it is that you believe is a better place. Go, please, and take anyone of similar mind with you.
By staying you are tacitly admitting you're full of BS and just taking a position. If you really thought there was a better place, why wouldn't you go there to live. If living here is soooo trying on your soul, leave, find peace. We won't miss you.
