Debussy: Trio for Violin, Cello and Piano in G
Stefan Jackiw, violin
Robert DeMaine, cello
Andrew Armstrong, piano
Andrew is Jimmy Ehnes favorite accompanist. This is a fine piece.
Kulesha: Quartet for Piano and Strings
Amy Schwartz Moretti, violin
Marcus Thompson, viola
Efe Baltacigil, cello
Orion Weiss, piano
The Seattle Chamber Music Society has a commissioning club, of which I was once a member, that commissions new pieces of music. Some were quite good, and some were dogs. You never know what youre going to get with new music. Gary Kulesha was hired to write this piece, and well see just how good it is.
Violist Marcus Thompson had appeared with the festival since the early days in the Eighties. He was missing in action for the past few years, but hes back.
Dvorak: Trio for Violin, Cello and Piano in F minor, Op. 65
James Ehnes, violin
Julie Albers, cello
Adam Neiman, piano
This is the big trio written under the influence of Brahms. Some like this piece, but Ive never been a fan.
Good evening, Publius...((HUGS))...are you happy with the Chamber Music Festival so far?
It is still really hot in your neck of the woods?
