Following the publication of embarrassing internal government emails by Judicial Watch, the Homeland Security agency responsible for deporting criminal illegal immigrants is dodging questions about President Obamas illegal alien uncle, who got busted for drunken driving last year in Massachusetts.
The case received widespread media coverage because the commander-in-chiefs uncle, Onyango Obama, had previously been deported to his native Kenya yet lived and worked in the Boston area and threatened to call the White House after getting arrested. He also had a valid Massachusetts drivers license, which was temporarily suspended after his drunken-driving arrest but, incredibly, has been reinstated by the states Registry of Motor Vehicles.
Uncle Onyango has also received special treatment from the feds, according to government documents obtained by Judicial Watch. They werent easy to obtain because the administration clearly wants to keep details of the case from the public, despite promises of unprecedented transparency. JW had to sue for the information, which was made public this month.
The records, released by JW in two parts (click here and here to see them), show that Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) withheld information on Uncle Os release from the press and Congress and that the agency curiously permitted him to seek the reopening of deportation proceedings that had been closed in 1992. ICE leadership also tracked the politically sensitive case and granted Uncle O a special stay of deportation.
The records also include an embarrassing internal agency email from Brian Hale, ICEs Assistant Director of the Office of Public Affairs, to ICE Director John Morton dated April 1, 2012, titled Onyango Statement and TPs [Talking Points]. The email (on page 43) confirms that ICE gave the presidents uncle favorable treatment.
We know that Uncle O still lives and drives in the Boston area but the Obama Administration refuses to reveal the next step. Will Homeland Security officials sit idly by while an illegal immigrant with a DUI roams freely? Judicial Watch spent a great part of the week trying to get answers by repeatedly contacting ICE officials in Washington D.C. The question JW posed was simple: What is the status of the Onyango Obama case? The public certainly has the right to know.
But ICE blew JW off repeatedly. Multiple phone calls and messages to the ICE Public Affairs Office went unanswered before an agency spokeswoman named Gillian Christensen demanded the question be put in writing and sent to her email address at Gillian.Christensen@DHS.gov. Multiple emails and several days later, JW has not received a response.
Little doubt that you’re right. Onyango has an age problem too but Zer0 can waive that...
The problem with the license part is that under state law one must provide proof of legal status (citizenship,Green Card, etc) before a Massachusetts driver's license can be issued.
And for the record, our beloved (but not by me) Governor Deval "Coupe Deval" Patrick is a long time, close, buddy (all the way back to Chicago) of Osama Obama and coined the phrase "yes we can" in his 2006 campaign for Governor.
And the leftist media cluck & guffaw about reasonable inquiries into Zero's birth records, citizenship, draft registration, school transcripts, travels, and affiliations. We live in a Bizarro World.
If there's anything embarrassing on it, I know a guy who can fix it with Photoshop. No problem.
Shoot, I have Creative Suite here in the office; I’m sure I can gin up a BC that’ll pass muster with the Congress and the various Secretaries of State.
If you can give me a plausible Date/Time, I can knock that out in just a few minutes.
SuhWeet! Lissen, my Uncle Wong from Hong Kong is in town, and I was jes wonderin’ifn you could ..........you know?
Sure, if’n you can arrange a cheap rental on the Kona side...it’s me and the wife, is all. Doesn’t have to be extravagant...
Watch it honkey. Barry be All Man .. see the way he done beats down that Osama guy? He look a little on the down-low, but that don't mean nothing. And that "sports club" he belong to in Chicago? That be nothin'. Just ask Reggie Love or Rahm Emmanuel. And don't you be listening to Larry Sinclair or that dead gay guy from the church, neither. Queers lie!
Same on the "mom" jeans and the girlie throwing style. Don't play no ball in Indonesian is all.
I think Molokai for this one. Little more informal there, if you catch my drift. Plus the natives are surly, just like here in ME. When you get off the plane they don't go into that Aloha crap, they just say, "Not stayin' long, are ya?"
