I fail to see that this shooting has any connection with the presidential campaign or provides any reason to “shake up” the campaign of either candidate.

This good for Obama another week in which the real issues of the nation are put on hold. And if Mitt were out there attacking he will be called heartless..... by our friends in the media....

there are at least two things happening here:

1. The media will give saturation coverage to this story for the next few days, so the presidential campaign will not be front and center. So both campaigns think it best to lie low.

2. The Obamabots are planning how to get the best political advantage out of this. Tucson was supposed to be Obama’s “Oklahoma City” moment, but it didn’t work out too well for him. So they may try to make this that sort of moment. All manufactured of course.

Exactly. Except it gives Hussein some extra face time.

It doesn't. But it sounds good and feels good.

And as a bonus, it gives obma a stage to make his pitch for the U.N.s Small Arms Ban Treaty to the fools. Also, he gets to blame George Bush, Sarah Palin, Mitt Romney, the The Party movement, a milita group, and a White Supremacist group, and lax "gun laws".

Me, personally? I am still expecting a "Reichstag's Fire" incident.
