IIRC Trump backed off when 0bama put up the fake BC, like he was putting the matter to rest. MSM took it that way.
I got the impression the whole thing was an act to get 0bama off the hook. I could be wrong but it would not be un-Trump-like to participate in a big show. I look at anything The Donald does with a kilo of salt.
Problem was... timing
When Trump asked for the BC, he got one on a Friday.
Then obama killed osama.
That put the BC issue on ice.
How can someone pursue a stupid thing like a BC when our dear leader killed America’s #1 enemy?
If Trump pursued he would have appeared unAmerican.
