I agree with your take on that. Voter rights should only be extended to people who are citizens. If there were a way to do it, I’d also like to see a loyalty clause that figures in somehow, pledging to support the ideals of our Founding fathers and U. S. Constitution. If people can’t do that, they don’t really belong here, much less deserve to vote.
I have also voiced a concern over voting rights for women. My first wish is that women be allowed to vote. Sadly, by voting in a lopsided manner for Bill Clinton and Barack Obama, they have shaken my belief in it.
If a guy was slick, women seem almost as if they would vote for him anyway, even if he were likely to start snatching members of the immediate family just after being sworn in.
