I got in a debate recently with a Maryland black Obama-supporter(true Democrat) about voting laws starting with voter ID laws. After much back and forth he admitted he thinks ANY (I mean ‘any’) human being on US soil should be able to vote here without any type of ID, and that it's a human right to vote. I asked him to FIND that right in the US constitution.
He got thrown when I told him few blacks will vote Republican especially with Obama as POTUS so Republicans should NOT be giving speeches to liberal black organizations.
So he thinks about it and tells me it is not hopeless because GWB minority outreach increased the black vote to 10 or 20% and so it's not hopeless.
I replied that it all backfired with Bush minority home ownership and most of the same blacks that swung Republican in 2004 (remember it was Kerry NOT Obama then) despised GWB by 2008.
He watches MSNBC and they praise GWB from time to time to hurt current Republicans, standard game, He knows I study them yet he tries this CRAP on me.
I forget what the bill even was now, but there was an important one we wanted him to veto. It was clearly a flawed effort. So what did he do? He signed the damned thing and then sent his minions out to state that he knew the SCOTUS would strike it down.
