When I first saw a book with the title, "White Girl Bleed A Lot" by Colin Flaherty, I instantly knew what it was about, even though I had not seen the book reviewed anywhere, and knew nothing about the author.
That is because I had encountered that phrase before, while doing research for the four new chapters on intellectuals and race that I added to the revised edition of my own book, "Intellectuals and Society," published this year.
That phrase was spoken by a member of a mob of young blacks who attacked whites at random at a Fourth of July celebration in Milwaukee last year. What I was appalled to learn, in the course of my research, was that such race riots have occurred in other cities across the United States in recent years — and that the national mainstream media usually ignore these riots.
Where the violence is too widespread and too widely known locally to be ignored, both the local media and public officials often describe what happened as unspecified "young people" attacking unspecified victims for unspecified reasons. But videos of the attacks often reveal both the racial nature of these attacks and the racial hostility expressed by the attackers.
Are race riots not news?
Ignoring racial violence only guarantees that it will get worse. The Chicago Tribune has publicly rationalized its filtering out of any racial identification of attackers and their victims, even though the media do not hesitate to mention race when decrying statistical disparities in arrest or imprisonment rates.
Such mob attacks have become so frequent in Chicago that officials promoting conventions there have recently complained to the mayor that the city is going to lose business if such widespread violence is not brought under control.

The Cincinnati riots of April 2001 were almost completely ignored by the old media, though they were well covered here. We even had Freepers on live threads posting transcriptions of police radio traffic.
Those events were quickly forgotten due to 9/11.

I heard the design was intentional to protect the campus from the surrounding town. Didn't really believe it when we drove in there in June to attend an event there, but certainly believed it when I made a wrong turn going out and took a back route to the interstate. We didn't make eye contact with anyone or look back, just followed my country boy sense of direction and headed north based on the setting sun to my left. After a couple of miles, the surrounding area noticeably improved and I took one of the side street pointing us toward the interstate.
I don't remember them at all .... must have been before I signed up, so I never heard/saw anything. Good job, JournoListers! Way to suppress that bad-for-Democrats news!
In this Bizarro World of opposites - white southern teenage thugs go around beating up random blacks.
Young, old... doesn't matter. And it's a group sport - with many southern whites targeting an old black grandmother, or black young children, or single black men coming home from work - a large gang of southern white teens against one or two black people. And the beatings are severe enough that victims are often hospitalized.
Because of politics, police look the other way and either don't report the truth or they don't file a report at all. The biased Conservative press (in this flipped world) refuses to report the truth. Even when two of their reporters are beaten and surrounded by a white mob, their own paper doesn't cover the story for two weeks.
In newsroom meeting where it's brought up, elite managing editors are concerned 'the left wing crazies' will use the information so they don't cover the beatings. White gangs are so vile they call it 'nigger knocking' and still the press keeps a cover on the truth. The press loses credibility - people cancel subscriptions... and still the press protects conservative whites...
Flip that - and it's the world we live in... the biased world conservatives live in. It's why we hate the New York Times, Washington Post, ABC, NBC and CBS - those groups set the tone for liberal lies. Not just racial lies, but all the lies that go with it.

The leftist media have been gradually becoming more and more blatant about not covering the truth of these incidents for a number of years. Now that Obama and his racist lapdog Holder are in Washington the LSM cares not a whit that everyone knows what they're up to.
Thomas Sowell, like Rush, is always right.
Those cities are graphic proof of what may happen and every one of those examples are true.
