In 2008 she gave 110%. She was subjected to baseless ridicule and she and her family were dragged through the mud. The GOP was silent or helping in doing the dragging.
As a result of her VP run, she was targeted in Alaska with unfounded lawsuits that nearly bankrupted her family. The GOP was silent.
She was accused of complicity in a mass murder and again the GOP was silent. When she tried to defend herself, she was accused of racism. The GOP was silent.
She was instrumental in the development of the TEA Party as a grassroots organization of conservatives. The GOP tried to co-opt it. She and the TEA Party were responsible for the 2010 Republican takeover of the House and in many statehouses across the country. The GOP establishment denied her credit and took credit themselves for the victory.
Gov. Palin endorsed Judge David Prosser in WI while the GOP was silent. He won. Gov. Palin went to Madison and confronted the union thugs while the GOP establishment hid. Gov. Palin supported Gov. Scott Walker and she endorsed Lt Gov. Rebecca Kleefisch in WI recall elections while most of the GOP cowered in fear. They won.
She is endorsing Constitutional conservatives in 2012 and they are winning.
She is the most in-demand Republican speaker in the country and groups pay as much as $100,000 for a Palin speech.
Yet Mitt Romney and his campaign won’t let her speak at their convention for free. This is a slap in the face to all conservatives. We have been taken for granted in the Republican Party since 1988. Now they want to have our votes and insult us at the same time.
If Romney holds to this decision, conservatives should contact their delegates and tell them that bound or not, if they go Tampa and vote for Romney, just plan on staying there.
Oh, sure. Make Tampa suffer. ;)
Marvelous post.
To them I paraphrase, "Let the courageous cast the first stone" but then, I know who the courageous would cast that stone against and it isn't Sarah Palin.
The rest just cast their stones at the mirror.
