I find it interesting. The vast majority of the ‘right wing’ was in lockstep agreement with Palin’s policies and vision for the future. Most of the time such a person gets elected.

But in this case, they were strangely opposed to the wrapper those ideas came in. Not for any logical reason *see above), but because it was “Palin”.

Had it been any other person in the GOP, they’d have kicked the doors down to back that person. But it was “Palin” so they did not. Right here on FR many of the people who are in near lockstep with Palin’s ideas and vision RE energy, social issues, taxation et all, saddled up and rode for the brand...that brand being PDS. Because it was “Palin”.

Now, when Romney needs conservatives more than ever in order to seal his deal, what does the GOP do?

Comes down with a relapse of PDS. Oh, they are publicly 100% behind her ideas as always...they just don’t like the wrapper they come in. Because it’s “Palin”. May they get what they so righteously earned.

I heard too many conservatives I otherwise respected refer to her as "that idiot woman".

Romney is GOP-e

He always has been.

Palin is not. Never has been.

I have experience with Mormons in politics (was GOP County Chairman in NM in the 1980’s). Be prepared for the train whistle when the time comes. He will bring 1/2 of Utah with him to DC. Nature of the beast.

Yes, I always found it laughable (even from those on FR) who would on one side of the mouth approve of all that she said, and the other side would claim she was incredibly stupid.

They never got the idiocy of that.
