What this prick said really means that the fruits of your labor doesn’t belong to you, it belongs to society and if you are permitted to even enjoy a small portion, it is considered a gift from society. This shows their big ego and so-called self importance and they think they are smarter and know better than us ordinary folks.

This kind of brings back a time when I worked for a liberal manager in my old company and similar M.O. One thing I remember is when I took my vacation, that manager considered it a privilege to take it and made sure I knew it was a privilege such as requiring me to leave contact information and being required to return ASAP if so demanded. Of course this manager was so full of himself. Also when it came time for the company to encourage to give money to the United Way, I refused to give of course and he even mentioned that the money I earned was considered a gift and he told me I should be required to give some of my hard earned money to UW. I refused and he even brought up that he wouldn’t get a bonus unless there was 100 % participation.

I refused to give to the United Way too.

I told my boss I was earning my keep and once they paid me it became my money.

I told her there were other causes which I felt were worth my charitable giving and it wasn’t anyone’s business who I gave to.
