VAN SUSTEREN: What do you make of the food fight that's going on as - the recent - today, the deputy campaign manager of President Obama's campaign, Stephanie Cutter, accused Governor Romney of either being a liar or a felon. I don't know - I guess it's better to be a liar than a felon. Nonetheless, both are terrible. He's calling for an apology tonight.
PALIN: I'm glad that he is forcefully calling for an apology. But Mitt Romney and his campaign people perhaps don't even know what's coming, what will be hitting him. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
President Obama and the people whom he is surrounded with and in that campaign, they're going to be brutal. And they will - they'll throw these false accusations and they'll try to ring a bell that you can't unring again in the public's perception about who Mitt Romney is, what his record is.
He needs to be prepared, and the campaign can't hold back in defense of Romney's record and what it is that he actually believes and stands for. So I'm glad that, in a case like this, he's demanding an apology. He's got to take the gloves off, the Romney campaign has got to, in order to effect the change that is needed in this campaign and turn things around for the country. Can't hold back.

LOL!! Mitt sabotaged himself - appearing on a GOP ticket with nothing but socialistic/liberal accomplishments! NOTHING about him has a hint of the GOP platform.
i never said i liked milt— as a matter of fact i dislike him probally more than you do
I see you are still full of wishful thinking. Voters of every stripe are paying attention. How many Americans do you know that are NOT hurting, scared, jobless, worried about their children's future and are NOT paying attention. ANYONE with skin in the game is paying attention. Meanwhile obama is inflicting major damage to mitt and his already shaky chances for a victory.
Anyone of consequence in the Conservative world is saying mitt is screwing up... is too timid and yet many of you refuse to see the truth. Here is a quote by an author that recently wrote a book on General George S. Patton... a man that knew well the art of battle and battlefields.
"Seeing the battle through the opponents eyes is the most dramatic way of seeing it. It is different in one important respect from looking at it through the opposite end of the telescope. For instead of being minimized, the picture is magnifiedwith startling vividness.

I hope that you will think about what it means.

Mr. RomneyCARE brings hate everywhere, folks.
Hang on tight.
Of course she is.
I know you never said it nor did I claimed you did - I addressed the comparison of a Republican to mitt, the socialist. A weak Republican, like Bob Dole, is weak and not an asset to America but evil is evil. I don’t vote for evil, I expose it.
Well who the F do we want her to root for, Obama?
Its not like there is not enough material to talk about regarding president downgrade. For example, a good narrative would be to talk about the liberals conducting a social and economic experiment on the backs of millions of unemployed and underemployed Americans, with no regard whatsoever for their hardship and tears.
Romney's opponent circa 1999:
The gloves are superglued to Romney’s hands.
In a purely tactical sense, Romney is going to keep his powder dry until after Labor Day.
Agree. He’s going to be short and direct, but save the Haymakers for the later innings of the game.
“Well who the F do we want her to root for, Obama?”
Quite a few here claiming to be conservatives would indeed prefer that...
I agree - I said way back i wouldnt be voting if Milt was the nom.. and i intend to do just that.. I wont be putting my name of approval next to Milt Romney by voting for him.. I cant and wont
I basically agree with your post#10. Although I think Palin and Limbaugh are right to criticize Romney’s efforts to date, I think it’s also true that the sluggishness of those efforts might be part of a bigger grand strategy. Might be. (Might also be stupidity and political dementia.)
It’s hard to know what the “campaign” is going to do.
Certainly there is every reason to counterattack, but with the media being who they are, they would paint any counterstrike as petty and that there must be something to the accusations to elicit such a response.
That’s the risk for the Romney camp.
For now, the accusations don’t seem to be gaining much traction. The charges are out there and not really getting
a whole lot of attention. Only place it’s from page is Drudge. Everyplace else has moved on.
Inflicting major damage? Where?
beyond political junkies spending all day on this, most Americans are not remotely interested at this point, that is why you got polls that have moved almost nowhere in weeks.
What the problem is here is that people on our side want big time fireworks so they can be entertained and hyper.
We haven’t even had the conventions, yet people want Romney to run like it’s October. For what? So by September people will complain that he is starting to repeat himself?
Nothing done today will be remembered in September.
I don’t see another Bush winning any time in our lifetimes, and I am from FL and a Jeb supporter.
Unless the GOP keeps about 10-15 other good potential candidates out of our next open primary, Jeb has little chance. (although, I agree with you that the ‘establishment’ would love it to be so). The voters are awake.
