Bill Clinton may have forced her husband out of office - but Barbara Bush still considers him family.
The former First Lady lavished praise on the man who defeated George H.W. Bush in 1992, lovingly saying that Clinton is a good fellow who is very thoughtful about calling.
He never said a mean word about anyone, she said in an interview with Parade Magazine set to appear this weekend.
She even revealed that her sons - including, of course, George W. Bush, who followed Clinton into the Oval Office - call him My brother by another mother.
Hes very nice, Barbara Bush continued. I think she thinks of George [Sr.] as the father he never had.

“Statist birds of a feather.”
Thank you. I was going to post essentially the same thing. They all share the common trait of being proponents of big government.
For Clinton, his attachment to the Bushes has been a convenient (if not clever) way to repair his tawdry image. IMHO the Bushes really need to question the wisdom of welcoming a notious philanderer into their family circle. Just sayin...
Sorry, but they crossed that bridge long ago.
Obama has done something I never imagined possible 15 years ago; make Bill Clinton seem like a great guy! I say this honestly too, as by comparison to Obama, Clinton is just about all good.
With those pop-eyes sh can’t se much of anything.
Barbara Bush and I had a falling out when she attacked Sarah Palin. She can take her husband and her two boys and
her big mouth, and go take a hike. She should stop shoveling manure.
Bush Senior:"Get that finger away from me !"
YOU have brought home a fine point.
It’s gotta be a Yale thing.
Big hearted with OPM. That’s the definition of a ‘Crat.
There was a time I respected her.
I thought it was so touching the concern he showed to Juanita Broaddrick suggesting she put ice on her wounds after he raped her.
Sounds like Red Green’s Possum Lodge.. “We’re all in this together”.. With the same ridiculous skits..
Momma Bush just exposed the whole political bamboozle..
I really believe Clinton is a psychopath. They are very good at fooling people. Especially the highly intelligent ones like Bill.
“She praises Clinton and denigrates Sarah Palin.”
Your post says it all. Clinton, with all his faults, is still one of them. A member of the club, if you will. Sarah is seen as an upstart “outsider” from middle America who would disrupt the statist model built by the elitists. Her values are perceived by the elitists as “quaint”. Bill is loved; Sarah is feared.
Yes, Barbara Bush with her smarmy smart assed low rent comments regarding Palin, enfuriated me long ago.
Let’s remember that it was the GOP Blue bloods that absolutely demanded that newly nominated Reagan take on Moderate E boy Bush as his VP to balance out the ticket.
Fast forward the fawning praise and hopefullness by the E GOP gang to have Moderate E boy Romney take on Liberal Moderate E Girl Condi.
I’m one of the despisers of Romney that will vote for him to oust commie Obammie....but putting another E Bum on the ticket would make it a bridge to far.
Its funny how Bill Clintons presidency look good compared to the communist usurper weve got in the White House now!!!

Could it possibly be because his last 6 years as Prez he had a Republican House and Senate?
Amazing how Clinton get’s credit for good things that were only due to the GOP controlled Legislature.
