I spent a night in upper Canada in January 2011.When I woke up at 8AM it was -31F.I don't know what this is in Celsius but I promise you that I wasn't enjoying Upper Canada at that moment....actually,not until my car warmed up.Amazingly,it started however. ;-)

BTW- -31F is -35C. The two intersect at -40.
-35C is cold. What is worse is when the windshield fluid rated to -40 freezes up (windchill). I usually have some -50 (-68F)for the cold parts of the winter.
